In 2023, Malia wrote the first chapter of a story that will never be forgotten: she was the first athlete I ever coached to win the Pan-American Championship, the most challenging competition in the sport. A huge achievement, born from daily hard work, discipline, and the passion she brings to the mats.The following year, things didn’t go as planned.But Malia, with a maturity beyond her years, didn’t let it shake her. She stayed focused, kept training, kept growing, and never stopped believing. She showed that true champions aren’t made only of victories, they’re built by those who keep going, even when things don’t go their way.And in 2025, she returned to the Pan Kids.She came back to win.Malia didn’t just reclaim the top of the podium, she shined like never before. On that very stage, full of meaning and memories, she was promoted to her yellow belt in front of everyone.
