Goodbye my very best girl. Thank you for being by my side for 14 amazing years.

You brought us so much joy every single day.
You’ve been the best sister to Prune, and cousin to Kilo, and you just loved everyone with all your heart.
You taught us to play, laugh, adventure, and not take life too seriously.

I will miss your soft ears, sweet kisses, your frisky nature and our happy hour sing alongs.
I will miss you so much each and every day my sweetest lady.

I hope you and Prune @prune_and_nocino are running on the beach together again. Hopefully taking long walks with Nana @seaurchinqueenmother , and getting some snacks from @chefredkevin ✨💜

This week, we said goodbye to our beloved Nocino. For 14 beautiful years, she was our lady, our little muppet, our sweet rascal, and the very best girl.

Our hearts ache without her. We’ll miss her resting at our feet in the mornings, barking at us for not sharing the rest of our spaghetti, and giving us the pure, unconditional love she carried in her heart.

We hope she’s running free on the beaches with Prune, happy and carefree. Thank you for 14 wonderful years, our sweet Nocino girl. You will be missed and loved forever. Rest well. 🤍🐾 by @maliamoo

This was my second time seeing Brandi at the Gorge, and the magic she creates there is unforgettable. I’ve been joking this year that Brandi is my Grateful Dead, because every time I’ve seen her has been a completely different experiences and I’m seeing her six times this year. That’s exactly what I wanted: to let each show be its own moment, its own kind of healing. I tricked Zoi into thinking we were only going for one night to see Brandi and Bonnie Raitt, and then surprised her with all three nights for Echos In the Canyon. Watching her experience it for the first time made it even more special.
Pictures or words can’t really describe what you feel at the Gorge, but Brandi comes close. She makes everyone feel the magic through music, through women, through power, and through song. Our moms were there, and so were many we’ve lost-you could really feel their presence. I came this year wanting to heal through music and community, and that’s exactly what happened. It was beautiful. My heart is full. I’m so grateful.

A long weekend with some of my favorite people: Brandi show, coast adventures, cozy rain, dogs, good food, and friendship that goes back decades. Grateful that Grace came to visit from Denver. The world is heavy, and honestly, I’ve been hesitant to share anything at all. It’s taken me a minute to absorb what this weekend really meant. Being present and soaking up every moment @justwannaweekend was a much-needed reminder that joy is an act of resilience, and community is healing. I’m grateful for every song, every hug, and every moment we paused to come together. Thank you to @brandicarlile , @samsmith , @thechicks , and all the incredible humans who made this experience so special. It’s hard to find the words, but I needed to share something about Kevin—because he was too important not to.

When we moved to Portland, Kevin became family. He made everyone feel seen and heard, and was always there with comfort and kindness, especially when Zoi and I lost our mothers within months of eachother. Some people just have an old soul, and our connection was instant. We shared so many good conversations over a nice glass of wine or his favorite Stella.

He took care of our fur babies and our home. He was someone we trusted with our pets, our space, and our hearts. He was home.

We are so heavy from this loss in our life. This year I truly understand that life is short. If you’re arguing with someone, let it go. Hug your people.

Kevin, we love you and we will miss you. I hope you’re walking the runway right now, shining just like you always did. 🤍
