It’s always a good time in Gaston County Schools!

We are so happy we had the opportunity to visit Cherryville High School! Mr. Griggs and his students were absolutely wonderful. We had a great time learning about the different undergraduate majors offered in the Cato College of Education at UNC Charlotte.

We also learned about some exciting funding opportunities from our NC Teaching Fellows Director, Elisabeth Wilson, and we had the opportunity to simulate what a college lecture would look like! 📚✨

We hope to see you very soon, EduNiners, at UNC Charlotte Cato College of Education! ⛏️🎓

I got to spend my day with 67 of the BEST Early College Students!

The UNC Charlotte Cato College of Education has a Charlotte Teacher Early College (CTEC) which opened on the campus of UNC Charlotte to serve students interested in a career in education. The early college model is designed to provide opportunities for high school students to earn college credit, free of charge, during the five years in the program.

We are so PROUD of these students. 💚⛏️ by @malikahouser

Admitted Students Day Take 2 🎬

Today was more than just a visit. It was a glimpse into your future. A feeling. A moment where everything starts to become real. Walking through our halls, meeting your future professors, and connecting with those who may soon become lifelong friends reminded us why this place is so special.

At the Cato College of Education, you are not just choosing a school. You are finding a home. A place where you will be supported, challenged, and inspired to grow into the educator you are meant to be.

We meant it when we said it today, and we will keep saying it every step of the way. You belong here. 💚 by @malikahouser
