DAY TRIP from Tbilisi to Kazbegi, Georgia 🇬🇪

Day 3 of the trip was PACKED with activities!
We took a day trip to the north of Georgia.
…
Stepanstminda or Kazbegi is the northernmost city of Georgia and it is sitting peacefully at the base of the mountain where you’ll find Gergeti Trinity Church.
…
This is the itinerary we had (that most of the tours offer also):
🚗 Departure from Europe Square in Tbilisi.
‼️ PRO TIP: Go at least 15 minutes before departure to find your bus (there are many!) and get good seats.

🏞️ First stop: Zhinvali Reservoir

🏰 Second stop: Ananuri Fortress

😋 Third and fourth stops: Restaurant
Kavtaradze and honey 🍯 shop.
‼️ PRO TIP: We really enjoyed our table on the bridge with refreshing mountain river water passing by, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the restaurant 😅😅😅 Depending on the trip you book, you will have different restaurant stops in the area. There are many honey sellers on the road.

🌄 Fifth stop: Gudauri Monument

🌆 Sixt Stop: Stepanstminda or Kazbegi city
‼️ PRO TIP: Your tour will most probably stop in parking lot. If you pay an additional 20 GEL, you will be able to take a local car to Gergeti Trinity Church below Mount Kazbek. The there is a 15 mins drive.

🚨ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
1. Please expect crowds.
2. Most tours don’t have the meal included, and we also paid at the restaurant for our order.
3. Most day trip tours stop at Stepanstminda for 1h. In this time, you can choose to wait in the bus or go to Gergeti Trinity Church with a shared 7-seater car that your tour guide arranges for you (20 GEL per person ‼️IN CASH‼️). Please don’t hesitate, and go!
4. The trip is along the Georgian Military Highway, but there are areas where constructions are going on, and it can be very crowded.

📍1. Betlemi St
Bonus Location: Beanbourbon roasters is a nearby cozy cafe perfect for a quick coffee fix.
📍2. Betlemi Street Stairs

📍5. Rike–Narikala Cable Car
The ride is 2.5 GEL and you only tap your card at the entrance to pay. No need to purchase any physical ticket.

10 Things I did in my FIRST DAY in Tbilisi, Georgia 🇬🇪

And I’m not even kidding, I went straight from the airport to exploring the city!
…
Here’s everything I did:

📍 1. Dry Bridge Market
There is no entrance fee, it is opened every day until around 6 PM.
There are so many vintage pieces that you can buy: cameras, jewelry, cutlery, scarves, or painting paintings etc.

📍2. Saarbruecken Bridge over the Kura River
It’s right next to the Dry Market and I honestly loved the views. As you cross it, you can see on one side the 📍3. Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi and 📍4. The Biltmore Hotel Tbilisi, the first glass skyscraper of Georgia!

📍5. Poté Fries
At simple as it sounds, this place only sells french fries with different toppings and I think it’s amazing for fries lovers!!

📍6. Shavi Coffee Roasters - Ninoshvili
I just realized that they have 2 locations, but I loved this one so much that I will most probably visit their second as well!

The design is really nice: cozy and there were so many people working on their laptops. I had a delicious iced latte and an amazing tonic espresso.

📍7. Cafe Daphna Tbilisi

📍8. Atoneli St. has so many nice places such as 📍9. BNKR Specialty roasters where the coffee is again in the same good!

📍10. The Clock Tower Area
I need to revisit this area by day, because it’s amazing!

Here is a mini Al Ain ITINERARY for your next Abu Dhabi getaway!

1. 📍Al Ain Oasis

If the weather is nice, you can spend hours walking on alleys shadowed by date trees 🌴

There are a few cafés at the entrance and inside the oasis. The café you say in the video is 📍 Ethr — Al Ain Oasis which is around 10 to 15 minutes walk from the entrance.

‼️PRO TIP: The entrance is free and you can rent a bicycle to cycle around (chargeable per hour).

2. 📍Al Ain Zoo & SUV Safari

I think this is one of the best activities in Al Ain!

We had so much fun on the SUV tour that can fit up to six people. The tour is chargeable by car and has a local tour guide that presents you the animals and stops for the camel feeding.

3. 📍Qasr Al Muwaiji

I absolutely loved this spectacular mud-brick fort and presidential birthplace. It has a covered glass museum, a small but beautiful gift shop and a free entrance.

4. 📍Al Jahili Fort

Al Jahili is one of the largest forts in the UAE. Transformed into a cultural centre and tourist attraction, these days it also hosts a permanent exhibition. The entrance is free of charge.

5. 📍Souq Al Qattara

A traditional handicrafts market takes place here every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from October to May, encouraging local families to preserve and promote Abu Dhabi’s heritage. There os no entrance fee.

6. 📍ZOI Al Qattara

I had to recommend you this café because I think it’s fascinating how you can drink a coffee or enjoy a meal on the grounds of a historic fort in Al Ain.

🚗 We drove 1h30 mins from Dubai to Al Ain and headed directly to 📍Al Ain Zoo where we booked the SUV safari car just for us and had a guided tour for around 1h.

It was a very beautiful experience (a core memory for me for sure) and I really recommend it!

Al Ain Zoo is 1h30 mins outside of the city of Abu Dhabi.
The zoo has entertainment and wildlife
experiences in a natural outdoor environment and this is exactly what we’re doing today!

After spending two years in the UAE, this experience in Abu Dhabi became one of my favorite ones and I think it’s great especially for families and even bigger groups!

1. Marsa Al Arab walk is my favorite walk all year round because it even has an outdoor AC!
2. Marsa Boulevard will soon open in the winter season
3. Courtyard (al Quoz) is like a small European street
4. Souk Madinat Jumeirah is a beautiful covered market
5. Jumeirah Beach Residence is easily accessible by tram
6. Bluewaters is the place where you see the huge panoramic wheel: Ain Dubai
7. Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood was recently renovated
8. Alserkal Avenue is the trendiest neighborhood right now
9. Burj Khalifa
10. The Museum of the Future has a free ground level entrance but it at the moment closed for renovation
11. One Central Plaza
12. Dubai Creek Harbor
13. Al Seef St is the “old town” of Dubai
