I’ve shared this news on LinkedIn recently, but wanted to post for all my friends here, as well.

I’m excited to announce that I’ve joined ELMA (European Languages and Movies in America) as Director.

Founded by Pascal Ladreyt, ELMA has been a vital supporter of European cinema in Los Angeles since 2007, and has built a collaborative community of passionate, kind, and hard-working champions of film across this expansive and beautiful city.

I’ll be working to further ELMA’s mission of fostering cultural exchange between Europe and the U.S. by developing strategic partnerships and supporting organizations that champion European film through public programming and educational initiatives.

After nearly a decade at AFI FEST, immersed in the world of international film, I’m excited to step into this new role and bring my experience to ELMA’s growing network of partners.

Here’s to new collaborations and continued cultural exchange! 💋

My darling Mysterian is no longer here on this planet. The little prince only stopped by for a short visit and he’s back flouncing around in the clouds now. It’s been nearly a month since we lost him. I just haven’t been able to post about another tremendous loss so close to the last ones. I’m grateful for the time I had with him, but it was just too little. I miss my tiniest spoon, my snagglepuss, my precious angel baby, my cricket, my gremlin, my perfect, magical boy. by @malintkan

Took a little spin around Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite with @septimalcomma 📸, where I accomplished my first “alpine climb” which was mostly a terrifying scramble up the side of a mountain to a special little crag at 11k feet. Perfect camp site, soft squishy marshes, sweet baby bats, oh and a meteor shower. 5 stars. (Peep the headlamps of the crazies coming down cathedral peak in the dark! 👀)

Our big, beautiful cat family is now down to just one small, disabled boy. Squish your kids, and bestow upon them all of the dumbest nicknames you can possibly think of and rub their soft little bellies until the rabbit kicking starts, give them all the treats and all the cantaloupe that their tiny hearts desire, gnaw on their little earsies and hold their little pawsies tight. Rest in peace Oni and Kyoko. We will love you and miss you forever. by @malintkan

Ahhhh! Utah is so beautiful! @septimalcomma and I rappelled into a slot canyon all alone! And we did lots of climbing where we felt bad about ourselves, and then good about ourselves, and then just really sore. Also, we saw bats! 🦇 not really photographable, so you’ll have to go say hi yourselves. Ask me for bat watching tips. #climbing #canyoneering #hiking #bats by @malintkan

Went adventuring around Mineral King with @septimalcomma, won a few games of gin rummy while apocalyptic clouds retreated then went a scramblin’, discovered three moon lakes, met at least six new marmot friends, Andrew discovered gold and we saw two nice sunsets. My calves are sore but I’m happy. by @malintkan
