After years trapped in development hell, the long awaited reboot of Spawn has finally entered production. Character creator Todd McFarlane remains involved in the project, while Jamie Foxx is still confirmed to play Al Simmons, the anti-hero who made comics history.According to “Esquire”, the long one has been in development for years and has gone through various delays, changes in scripts and uncertainties. Now, with production officially underway, the expectation is that the film will finally hit theaters in 2027 - though a release date hasn’t been announced by the studio yet.The new adaptation promises to bring a darker approach to horror, in partnership with Blumhouse, distancing itself from the 1997 film and seeking a more faithful representation of the universe created by Todd McFarlane. by @maliquke_spawn_king

Looking back, it hurts realizing I ignored all the signs because I wanted to believe people had good intentions. I made excuses for their behavior, overlooked the disrespect, and convinced myself things would change. Instead, I was taken for granted while they laughed, talked behind my back, or treated me like I never mattered.That realization hurts more than anything. Not because I lost those people, but because I lost so much of myself trying to prove my loyalty to people who had already decided I wasn’t worth theirs. Little brother… my heart hurts for you. I know firsthand what it feels like to lose your father to lose the leader of your tribe. I’m still learning how to carry that weight myself, so I won’t pretend this pain disappears overnight. It changes you.But I also know this: our fathers would never want us to quit. These brothers 🅱️🫱🏾‍🫲🏿♿️🏆my real homies are great fathers. Don’t get me wrong, they get on my damn nerves sometimes. They’ll call me out, push my buttons, and test my patience like only family can. But at the end of the day, they’re strong, solid figures in my life. They show up as men, raising their kids with love, discipline, and presence in a world that doesn’t always make it easy. They give me that real grown man advice, the kind that sticks with you. They check me when I’m wrong, no sugarcoating, no fake passes just straight truth because they care. That kind of brotherhood is rare. I wouldn’t trade them for nothing in this world. Not money, not status, not anything. always been one of my favorite scenes from Spawn because it captures everything I love about the character in a single moment. People see Spawn as rage, violence, and darkness… but scenes like this remind you there’s still pain, humanity, and love buried underneath all that hellfire. The way he carries her through the shadows, surrounded by chains, death, and bats, yet still protects her so carefully, says more than words ever could.The burned face, the glowing green eyes, the living cape it all represents the monster he became. But the emotion in this scene proves Al Simmons never completely died. That contrast between horror and compassion is exactly why Spawn stands above so many other dark characters to me. Wanda came out incredible in this one.
