After dedicating 11 years of my life to dance, it all came to an end today.

Dance has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It has shaped who I am, challenged me, inspired me, and given me some of the most meaningful memories of my life.

My relationship with dance hasn’t always been perfect. There were times when I lost motivation, when I felt burnt out, and when I questioned whether I wanted to keep going. Some days it felt easier to stay home than to show up. But through all of those moments, l realized I need to dance for me.

One of the greatest gifts dance gave me was the people. The friendships I built in the studio became so much more than teammates dancing beside me on stage.

Dance has given me so much more than just technique and skills. It taught me confidence, discipline, resilience, and how to keep showing up even when things get hard. All the long practices, early mornings, missed events, and constant soreness. Everything I sacrificed for this sport was all worth it.

This has been the hardest goodbye and I feel like I’m leaving a piece of me behind. Dance was more than just a sport to me, it was my passion and my joy. Every moment of it has shaped me into to who I am today.

Thank you to all my friends and family for the unconditional love and support throughout this journey.

Most of all thank you to my parents for sacrificing their time and money for this sport. I love you so much. @pristine_schmitt @koreasian
