“It is finished” as you said on the cross when you gave your life for me. I feel the same way right now. It is finished. When I was hopeless, I never thought my war scars could ever heal. I never thought my broken heart could ever be put back together. I never thought my anxious mind would ever stop racing and be able to think clearly again. For years I’ve been suffering through pain, trauma, internal and external warfare that would make almost any normal person give up. But I am anything but a normal person. I have suffered and fought with a smile on my face for a long time. I kept fighting through because I am a warrior. That’s exactly what I am. But I couldn’t carry the pain on my own any longer. I looked up and turned to Christ and said “Please Lord, I can’t keep fighting on my own. I need you. Please save me.” You spoke to me and told me that you already have saved me. You saved me when you died on the cross for all my sins and shortcomings. I fell short of your glory. I’ve done and seen things that changed me as a person. I’ve lost everything I love at one point or another. I’ve took so many losses that I’ve lost count of them. You’ve seen all my wins as well. You were present for each one. I’ve had some remarkable victories on the battlefield, the football field, the baseball field, the basketball court, with infrastructure on work sites all across America, and at home with my family and friends. But today is the greatest victory of my entire life. I’ve always believed in you. But my baptism today is my declaring to my savior and to everyone that I am a failure and a sinner according to the law of God and I’ve accepted the living truth that the only way I can truly win is through the Lord’s saving grace. Thank you to @radiantchurchov for baptizing me today. To everyone who has supported me up until this day, I thank you. You will all be rewarded for it with blessings from my father in heaven. To those who went against me, harmed me, or attempted to harm me, you have been forgiven. My God is a forgiving God and I will follow his lead and forgive you as he has forgiven me. I have so much hope for the future now.

Halfway dumped through the year. It’s nothing like how I wanted & it’s nothing like I predicted. Life’s really thrown the whole toolbox at me this year. And then threw some axes at me too. But look at me still standing. Still smiling. If I can stay up with all my problems I been facing day by day I hope I can be a beacon of hope to the next person. IF YOU are thinking about giving up just keep going just for one more day cause U never know what the next day’s gonna bring.

For the first time in almost 4 years I put on the uniform of the United States Army for the purpose of openly re-declaring my commitment to serve this country. I have officially re-enlisted into service and do solemnly swear to defend this nation with my life against all of her enemies. Both foreign & domestic. I have felt the call of duty once again within the last few months that I could not ignore. It is my duty to serve my country during wartime and I swore that I would answer the call when the hour came. Today I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy all enemies of the United States of America both foreign and domestic at moments notice. It was an honor to make this commitment on the 5 year dated anniversary where my brother in arms passed away and gave his last breaths as a faithful defender of this country. This weekend is Memorial Day weekend and I remind all of my fellow Americans that freedom is not free and never was. It is paid for by the bloodshed of our heroes. Honor the fallen this weekend. Never forget them. God bless you all. God bless the United States of America. 🇺🇸
