As if two years have passed since we finished this project! It’s about time I shared some look-dev for the title sequence that @antle & I created together for the @markcavendish “Never Enough” @netflixuk documentary.

We started with two different routes; one being a light, clinical - almost X-ray-like environment. The other was a dark, moody and somewhat mysterious one.

An athlete’s career is a fragile one; one injury could cost them their livelihood. As human beings, they are vulnerable but continue to power through with what they do. We decided to represent this with a racing bike made of glass.

The X-ray, clinical look of the brighter environment reflected the film’s intimate journey, following Mark’s rise, tragic downfall & unbelievable comeback. by @malletron

As if I’ve been doing this shit professionally for 10 whole years now?! A decade!

A huge thanks to everyone who’s supported me through my journey so far; Lori, my family, friends and all of the awesome clients I’ve met along the way. Appreciate you & here’s to whatever the next ten have in store.

Now, what do I do to celebrate?!?

Song choice was for both the title, and because it was released in the same year I got my first paying client.

I can’t believe this has just been sat in an Exports folder for over a year! Figured it’s better late than never.

After wanting to up-skill a little bit, I created this scene in Blender after finishing the incredible Swordsmith’s Arc season of Demon Slayer. I also thought I’d dust off my music skills & played the piano piece from the show. I then composited it all in After Effects (playing around with ACES workflow a little more) & added some cheeky rain sound effects.

Part 6 - This one has been in the works for freakin’ AGES! I saw a photo by @heysupersimi (who takes awesome architectural photos) & was instantly inspired with the idea “what if buildings were like old skool Hi-Fi EQs?!”. A big thanks to @magnieto.alejandro for some C4D guidance & @illmindproducer for the awesome BlapKit sample packs.

Another challenge @antl3d & I set ourselves. “Poké Ball Gumball Machine”.
I modelled & textured the whole thing in Blender. Then decided to turn it into some kinda animated poster found outside a local Pokémon Center.

During some downtime a couple of weeks ago @antl3d & I decided to set ourselves a challenge; Create a scene in Blender using the Mission To Minerva kit by @kitbash3d following the prompt “Stargazing” in under two hours.

To elevate my scene I grabbed a model of an astronaut by @visbyte from @sketchfab

I then comped it all together & graded it in After Effects using Magic Bullet Looks, Optical Flares by @videocopilot_official & Deep Glow. By @plugineverything

Finally got round to Part 5 - this time I decided to incorporate some 3D & cel parts. Also, get it animated too. So I guess this isn’t really stylferame but, whatever!

I’m absolutely loving getting stuck into #midjourney ! The AI art generation software churns out some incredibly amazing results form just a few simple prompts. Couldn’t not make a #cyberpunk themed one on my first run by @malletron

Part 4 - This one took some working. The original idea got SO afar & close to this, but something wasn’t quite sitting right with me, so it ended up like this.
