My second year of freelancing has somehow been even more challenging and rewarding than the first.This year I worked on a very fun feature film, DP’d some things I’m quite proud of, gaffed narrative and commercial gigs, loaded film, did a solo car rig, AC’d on some cool jobs, tackled some pretty big projects from start to finish as my own little production company, and continued to learn new things every single day. The film community in Seattle is a very special one, and I feel immensely grateful to the kind people who I get to work alongside, learn from, and create with day-to-day. by @mallory.gillin

Today marks one year since I took the leap and went freelance/started my own little company 🥹 it has been a very hard, very rewarding year of betting on myself, facing my fears, meeting tons of incredible people in this industry, and loads of learning and growth. I love this work and I love the people I get to work with. Can’t wait to see what the next year holds. by @mallory.gillin

Some photos from the Inka Trail to Machu Picchu. This trek will undoubtedly be a highlight of my life. The incredible history, astounding natural beauty, and exceptionally good company filled my cup in a way few things can. Special shoutout to @suzzallo whose 31st birthday inspired this trip. She’s the best trek and travel buddy and I love her dearly. Honorable mention to the shop owner who blasted the pan flute version of Despacito and sold me a maracuyá popsicle on the first day of the trek. The pan flute honestly slaps. by @mallory.gillin
