home. (long caption ahead)freshman year i decided to go to the well for the first time and i fell in love with the worship, messages, prayer, and community that came along with it. i’ve met so many people and made so many friends. the Lord was tugging on my heart more tonight. i’ll be the first to admit that i don’t attend service as much as i’d like to, read my Bible as much as i should, or pray as often as i wish i did, but i will be the first to say that my faith has grown TREMENDOUSLY in my God the past year and a half. i’ve struggled with my faith a few times in my life, the main time being when i was just 14. unfortunately, i was consumed with negative self image, my parents going through a divorce, and overall the feeling that i wasn’t good enough. i was ready to end my life at just 14 (admitting this to the public is the scariest thing i’ve ever done because only 2 people in my life genuinely know about this). luckily, God has since transformed my heart and mind to no longer be consumed with such negativity and hatred. the summer before freshman year was huge for me. my parent’s divorce was final, i was starting high school, and having to move all at the same time. plain and simple, God saved my life. my creator, the one and only who knows EVERYTHING about me, saved me because he loves me that much. i’ve experienced ups and downs just as everyone does since then, but i’ve since always been reminded to turn to the Lord in all times, but especially the bad times. He provides. He forgives. HE LOVES. tonight was the first night in the new well building, where i have been reminded to come, drink, and live. come and worship God, drink the goodness of the Holy Spirit, and live. i’m grateful i didn’t go through with my thoughts when i was 14, because not only do i get to live my beautiful life, but i get to LIVE through Christ. thank you @thewelljc for creating a home and safe space for me, and thank you God for saving my life. by @mallory_edenfield
