Tomorrow’s role models, shaped today

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

“The school may have 160 years of history behind it, but there’s an ever-present sense of forward motion at Malvern College...”

That line from Talk Education perfectly captures the spirit of Malvern College.

Yes, heritage runs deep here. But what the review recognises, and what we value most, is momentum. A culture where academic ambition, character education, outdoor learning and pastoral care aren’t legacy ideas, but living, evolving priorities.

From the slopes of the Malvern Hills to the energy in our classrooms and boarding houses, this is a community grounded in tradition yet constantly looking ahead.

Our thanks to Talk Education for such a thoughtful reflection and to our staff, pupils and families who ensure that forward motion is felt every single day.

Founded in 1865, Malvern College is a co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 13 to 18, offering a broad range of post-16 pathways including the IB Programme, A Levels and selected BTEC qualifications.

With around 45% of students coming from overseas, the school is genuinely international in outlook, while remaining firmly rooted in the traditions of a classic English boarding school.

WhichSchoolAdvisor visited Malvern College and spent time with students, teachers, the admissions team and Principal Mr Keith Metcalfe to understand what truly defines life at Malvern.

This National Cadets Week, we are celebrating the skills, confidence and sense of service at the heart of CCF at Malvern.
Today’s theme, Cadets Save Lives, highlights the practical skills and confidence cadets develop to step forward when others need help.
Our heritage takes us back to RAF Wattisham in 1975, where the Malvern Contingent gathered alongside a Spitfire, now restored to flying condition and based at Duxford.
More than 50 years on, the spirit of CCF continues on campus through leadership, resilience, camaraderie and service.
