Tummy troubles are no fun but nature has been offering gentle relief long before modern medicine came along! Here are some time-honored herbal and homeopathic remedies that may help soothe an upset stomach:

🫚 Ginger — One of the most well-known natural digestive aids. Ginger contains compounds called gingerols and shogaols that help calm nausea, reduce bloating, and ease indigestion. Try it as a warm tea, chew on a small piece of fresh ginger, or sip on ginger ale made with real ginger.
🌼 Chamomile — This gentle flower is a powerhouse for digestive discomfort. Chamomile has anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic properties, making it great for cramping, gas, and general stomach upset. A warm cup of chamomile tea before bed can work wonders.
🍃 Peppermint — The menthol in peppermint helps relax the muscles of the digestive tract, making it especially effective for bloating, gas, and IBS-related discomfort. Peppermint tea or diluted peppermint oil capsules are popular go-to options.
🌱 Fennel — Often used after meals in many cultures, fennel seeds help relax intestinal muscles and relieve gas and bloating. Simply chew on a few seeds or brew them into a soothing tea.
🍋 Lemon Balm — A lesser-known gem! Lemon balm helps ease indigestion, reduce gut spasms, and calm stress-related stomach upset. It pairs beautifully with chamomile in a tea blend.
🌸 Marshmallow Root — Marshmallow root contains a gel-like substance called mucilage that coats and soothes the lining of the stomach and digestive tract. It’s especially helpful for irritation, inflammation, heartburn, and leaky gut. Brew it as a cold or warm tea for best results, as cold infusions tend to draw out more of the beneficial mucilage.

Homeopathic remedies:
Nux Vomica — Often recommended for overindulgence, indigestion, nausea, and cramping, especially when symptoms feel worse in the morning.
Arsenicum Album — Helpful for stomach upset accompanied by burning pain, nausea, or food-related issues.
Carbo Vegetabilis — A go-to for bloating, gas, and sluggish digestion, especially after eating too much.
Pulsatilla — Often used when tummy trouble is triggered by rich or fatty foods. by @mamabearsupplyco

You grew a human. You brought them earthside. And now your body needs some serious love.

If you’ve just given birth, you already know that the postpartum days can be tender, sore, and overwhelming. Between perineal healing, swelling, and general exhaustion, your body is working overtime. That’s where Mama Bear Supply Co.’s Soothing Sitz Herbal Bath comes in, a gentle, all-natural ritual to help you heal from the outside in.

What Is a Sitz Bath?
A sitz bath is one of the oldest and most trusted postpartum recovery practices. You simply soak the perineal area in a warm herbal infusion, just enough water to cover the hips, for 15–20 minutes. It’s calming, healing, and honestly? It’s one of the few moments in those early postpartum days that feels truly for you.

Why This Blend Is So Special

Mama Bear Supply Co.’s formula is crafted with a thoughtful combination of certified organic herbs, each chosen for a specific healing purpose:

🌼 Calendula Flowers — Soothes irritation and supports skin repair with gentle anti-inflammatory properties.
🌿 Comfrey Leaf — Known to support healing of minor tears and abrasions by encouraging cell regeneration.
🍃 Plantain Leaf — A natural wound-healer that helps reduce swelling and discomfort.
✨ Yarrow — Offers gentle antiseptic and pain-relieving support to sensitive tissues.
🌸 Rose Petals — Calms, softens, and brings a moment of beauty to your healing ritual.
💜 Lavender Flowers — Promotes relaxation while providing natural antibacterial benefits.
🧂 Epsom Salt & Dead Sea Salt — Draws out inflammation, eases muscle tension, and promotes overall perineal healing.
🌱 Uva Ursi — A natural astringent that helps tone and tighten delicate postpartum tissue while supporting urinary tract health.

The Bottom Line
Postpartum healing isn’t just physical, it’s emotional, too. Carving out even 15 minutes to soak, breathe, and care for yourself sends a powerful message to your body: I see you. I’m taking care of you.
Our Soothing Sitz Herbal Bath makes that ritual easy, natural, and deeply nourishing.

My love language 🫶🏼

I love serving women by feeding them healing foods so they can rest and bond with their baby. I love taking notes from TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) and Ayurveda when preparing foods for new mothers.

My favorite way to care for the mothers in my life is to nourish them. With food, herbs, community, laughter, touch.

I love to help fill the freezer of friends that will soon welcome their babies. Stews, stocks, bone broth, deeply nourishing, warming foods.

Today I am making a big batch of bone broth. I have chicken and beef bones, onions, carrots, celery, garlic, ginger, salt, and apple cider vinegar in a slow cooker.
