Kicking off the second week of @asianfilmarchive Reel Singapore is Sayang Disayang (aka My Beloved Dearest) (2015) which is inspired by a ballad from Zubir Said, the composer of Singapore’s national anthem.

The film is a loving homage to Malay cuisine, focusing on the preparation of sambal goreng by domestic helper Murni for her employer Pak Harun.

A decision 12 years in the making, to have @mamafong doll me up on my wedding day 🤍 From those days we used to joke about it on set to it actually becoming a reality! So glad I listened to my younger self and made this into a reality🤍 From the planning to the fittings and the day of event, I loved everything about it! I danced, cried and even went out in the Sun with my makeup but it just absolutely beautiful throughout🤍 by @mamafong
