Tomorrow marks one year since we lost you, Scott. ❤️

It’s hard to believe an entire year has gone by.

You and I went through a lot together growing up. We shared things that only you and I could fully understand. And as we got older, Mom, Dad, and I watched you fight battles that we wished so badly we could fight for you.

There were wounds you carried for a long time. There were cycles you tried to break, times you tried to start over, and struggles with addiction that sometimes seemed bigger than you could climb out of.

But those things were NEVER all that you were.

You were my little brother. You were a son.

You were funny. You could drive us absolutely crazy. 😂 You had a huge heart. You and I shared memories that nobody else will ever fully understand.

And underneath everything life piled on top of you, I always saw my brother.

I wish your story here could have ended differently. I wish you could have finally found the peace you were looking for in life.

But I believe you’re at peace now. I believe God knows every part of your story—the things everyone saw and the things nobody saw…

So tomorrow, I’m not going to remember you only for how you left this world.

I’m going to remember how you lived in it.

We love you, little brother. Always have. Always will. ❤️
