LAST MAMBA STANDING 2027 – BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! Lottery registration opens Halloween night, October 31, at 6 PM! We’re increasing our field to 60 runners for October 23, 2027! Here’s how we’re filling those spots: • 11 guaranteed selections – Our top 11 runners from 2026 (17+ yards) are invited back! • 14 reserved spots – For experienced backyard ultra runners, including those who have completed 100+ miles at other backyard ultras. • 35 open lottery spots – Open to everyone! We’re aiming for an even mix of male and female runners. Now that Last Mamba Standing is an official Bronze Ticket race in the Big’s Backyard Ultra qualifying system, we believe this will open the door for even more big-time backyard ultra runners from across the country! That’s why we’re reserving spots for some of these experienced runners as we continue building a stronger, more competitive field. Lottery registration will be open for two weeks on UltraSignup, with our LIVE drawing November 15! No charge to enter. You’ll only be charged if selected and you accept your invitation. 2026 champion @tatestedman is returning to defend his title after winning with 25 yards (104.17 miles)! And here’s a look at our 2027 Last Mamba Standing championship trophy! Who’s going to challenge Tate? Who’s ready to toe the line? There can only be ONE Last Mamba Standing! #backyardultra #trailrunning #bigsbackyardultra #running #survive by @mambatrailrunners

Introducing the Mamba Grand Slam! Four Distances. One Legacy. We have five runners who have been with us all four years of the Mamba 100, and this November, they have the opportunity to accomplish something special! To earn the Mamba Grand Slam, runners must successfully complete all four distances: 100 Miles, 100K, 50K, and 25K. Our five runners going for the Grand Slam are: • Amanda Curtin – 25K • Brad Starnes – 50K • Tony Sperry – 50K • Ethan Baldock – 25K • John Boler – 100 Miles My brother, John, started with the 25K four years ago and has worked his way up to the 100-miler! The remaining runners above have already completed the 100 miler and 100k. We’ve designed a special custom wooden trophy to recognize this accomplishment. Each runner must successfully finish their final race distance this November to officially earn the Mamba Grand Slam award! Congratulations to these five runners for their dedication to Mamba over the past four years! We’re excited to cheer you on as you go after that final finish line! by @mambatrailrunners
