I am the sole provider for my family, and every day we need about $40 to buy flour, vegetables, milk, and secure our most basic needs. Three days ago, our children went to sleep thinking that tomorrow would bring them a morsel of bread... but tomorrow came like yesterday, without food, and with suffocating heat. Breaths. We reach out and send out our pleas, but no one answers, as if the cries of the hungry reach no one. There is nothing harder than looking into the eyes of a child.He asks you, "When will we eat?" and all you can do is remain silent and cry. Before my family goes to sleep, I look at their faces silently... and pretend I'm fine, even though pain resides in my shoulder, and fatigue resides in my heart.I am their sole provider, and every step I take now hurts me, but I fear the day when I am unable to stand, because behind me is a family who have no one but me after God.In Gaza, we don't just fear hunger... we fear that the last person still trying to keep their family alive will collapse.

1000 days... and we're still waiting to wake up from this nightmare.

A thousand days have passed, and mothers still hide their tears so their children don't break down, and fathers return home every evening fearing they won't be able to provide for their families.In Gaza, night is no longer a time for sleeping, but a time for fear... We sleep not knowing if we will open our eyes in the morning, or if those we love will remain with us.A thousand days have stolen our homes, our memories, and our safety... leaving in every heart a tale of unspeakable pain.

We are not asking for the impossible, nor are we seeking luxury... we simply want to live one day without fear, and for our children to eat their fill.If my words reach you, don't let them pass you by like any other post. Pray for us, spread our voice, and if you can help my family, don't delay. In Gaza, a helping hand today could be the reason a family is saved after a thousand days of suffering.

Every time I look at my mother, I see more weariness in her eyes than words can express.

Every day she stands before the fire cooking whatever she can find, the smoke choking her lungs, the heat exhausting her body, but she doesn't complain... because she just wants us to eat.
