Biohacking, tracking, optimizing… and then you drop your journal mid cold plunge, knock over your prayer candle, and curse Mercury retrograde to the sky. 😅

Stress is one of the biggest drivers of poor health, so if your wellness routine is stressing you out more than lighting you up, the healthiest thing you can do today might be to have fun.

Sometimes the real magic lives in the hard moments when we sigh deeply and think to ourselves, “not again.”

Over the years, I’ve found that when we sit with the stories that hold us back, the ones that cage us in, the discomfort, the “what will people think”, and we honour them without fueling them, something softens.

When we are able to guide our Inner Critic / Warrior gently toward the bigger picture and the bigger desires, life begins to feel more alive, more peaceful, more full of purpose.

So dream big and write down your desires.
Then, surrender to the process and let the universe light the next step.
And when the moment calls, move with big, bold courage.

That is the ebb and flow of it all.
That is where the most magical moments arise.
The best is always yet to come.

When we think of remedial exercises and home care, oftentimes as practitioners we think this means a good upper trap stretch held for x amount a time. Or x sets of x reps to strengthen a certain muscle or structure.

What I have found to be equally important and effective is to first and foremost teach people how to land in their body.

How to slow down enough to take a full deep breath and ask their body, their Inner Physician, what it needs.

When we don’t feel safe in our body, we lack body awareness and can push ourselves too much with our all or nothing mindset or not enough with our ignorance is bliss.

So when it comes to self-care, sometimes “doing nothing” is actually doing everything.

PS: this beach cup was engraved with love from @simply_never_grow_up ✨ by @manasantewellness

Hello epic human, I’m Cindy.

If we haven’t met yet, welcome. If you’ve been here before, hello again. I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a Registered Massage Therapist, CranioSacral Therapist and Somatic Practitioner with almost 20 years of clinical experience and a deep belief that healing is supposed to be simple. Not something that becomes your whole personality either, but something that makes you feel good and can even be fun.

I’ve spent more than 20 years teaching mindfulness to corporate organizations, showing up for keynotes and seminars, and somewhere in all of that I became a bit of a startup queen who genuinely loves helping people build systems that actually work for their life and their business.

I moved all over the world in my younger days but came back to NB to raise my son 22 years ago and I am here to stay.

There is something quietly powerful about living close to the ocean. Salty air, slower mornings, and community vibes that contribute to Lifestyle Medicine better than I could have imagined.

Outside the treatment room I am a Disney lover, a devoted seeker of excellent coffee in eclectic cafes, a traveller and someone who believes a good belly laugh can make any day better.

I also believe that the most powerful healing tool available to any of us is our imagination and it’s the foundation of everything I do here.
So let’s get your head in the clouds a bit more and play in the name of science and healing.

Et oui, je parle Français.
On est bien icitte en Acadie. by @manasantewellness

MANA, this name came to me like an Inner Wisdom download.

It found me while I was fully immersed in my Inner Child’s Happy place.(Yeap you guessed it… Disney!) It wasn't just a name for a business.
It was a name for the work I had been doing my whole career without having the right word for it.

And then I remembered: my very first business was named KINI, the Hawaiian word for Cindy. Although I didn't plan for the Hawaiian vibes to thread through my whole career, there it was, a quiet thread connecting who I was when I started to who I have become over the years. MANA felt like an ode to where it all started.

When the chapter that held this name closed, I grieved it. Closing something one has built from love is its own kind of loss, and I gave myself permission to feel that fully.

But somewhere in the grief, I found a question worth sitting with:

What if the name doesn't have to go?
What if the thing that came from my heart gets to stay, just in a different shape in consistent evolution?

And maybe that's the reminder hiding inside this post, for you as much as for me:
You never start from zero. Zero is a myth.

You start from everything you've already learned, everything you've already survived, every session, every hard conversation, every moment your body showed you something true. You start from wisdom and this wisdom is always available to you if you slow down enough to listen.

And that is the MANA way of life.
