Dear @tejasi_

I know we are not the type who usually do this but today is different. Today is special.

Today marks one of the biggest milestones of your life. Seeing you reach this moment takes me back all those years ago, when this felt like a distant dream. Over the years, so much has happened that it would make anyone lose their way, but not you.

Life threw everything it could at you – and allow me to get a bit cheesy – but I have never seen anyone as iron-willed as you. Your determination, commitment and discipline are things I have seen from the closest distance, and it truly inspires me and everyone around you.

To put it in perspective for all, you got married (thanks for that, btw), shifted your life and turned my house into a home, lost the strongest pillars of your life, shifted your entire base again to Sweden only to strengthen your doctorate, and even became a mother. Through it all, you never gave up on your dream.

What everyone will see is the achievement, but what I have seen every day, every minute, is the effort behind it. The relentless pursuit of excellence, research, laboratories, the commutes, the field work, and above all, the enormous mental strength of yours that has brought you here.

No one can take this away from you now. No one can challenge your capabilities, your journey, your resolve, or your achievement. This is it – you made it and you made it happen with your sheer determination to push through. You proved that any kind of a challenge can be overcome with humility, with grace, and if one truly wants, they can achieve whatever they set their mind to. You are an inspiration to me, to your son and to everyone else around you. This achievement is all yours to own and boast, if you want. I know I will.

I’m proud of you. Thank you for making me a better person everyday. And many congratulations once again, love.

Thank you, 2025. What an incredible year you have been.

Filled with highs and lows, with new adventures, journeys and yet a year that’s felt all so familiar. I’m hoping you had a good one too, and that the year that’s come will be even better.

One of the good things I’m happy I managed to do was spend less time on social media. Strangely enough, though, one of the many things I want to do next year is document the year better. Going back through the gallery, I realised I have A LOT of images of cars and motorcycles (and I am grateful that my Photos app looks this way), but less of myself and all the special moments lived throughout the year. Thankfully, the grey matter remembers the year that went by like yesterday.

The year 2026 will be even bigger, and on day 1, there’s a lot of excitement to see how it unfolds. Life always has a plan for you, all you got to do... is have trust.

Happy new year, folks! Thank you to all for making it special... Here’s a quick look at some of the photos I managed for myself. It’s not a very thorough job of selecting the best ones of the year, but just enough.. and that’s okay 🙃 by @manavsinha

3.. 2.. 1.. GO! 🏃

The Shibuya crossing is the busiest crossing in the world, but every time the pedestrian light turns green, you have hundreds of people running across for that ‘perfect’ photo!

I even saw people running with chairs and tables to put down and get that moment snapped 📸

I think I did a decent job at the crossing, and I definitely made a core memory ❤️

Lord Alto 800 - 0-100 km/h VERIFIED! Details in caption

The 2017 Maruti Alto 800 Manual accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 17.39 seconds as tested.

DRIVER NOTES:
- Manav was kind enough to lend me his 2017 Alto 800, and I was more than happy to have a go. NO one expected it to be fast… but the question was… how slow is it? And the results speak for themselves. HAHA

- The Alto 800 doesn’t have a tach, so I needed to change gears based on feel and sound. But getting smooth shifts with the 5-seed manual was quite easy. But it crossed the 1/8th mile (201m) in 13.12 seconds before it reached 90kph! My main concern wasn’t if it will reach 100kph… but will I run out of road and stop in time!  - But, 17.39 seconds is not half bad for a car that’s nearly 8 years old, and has barely enough distance on the odo to show its age. Warm climate in Delhi is one of the factors that may have some bearing on the times. But not by much for the Alto. With a fresh set of tires, perfectly timed gear shifts and cooler climate, the “GT800” has potential to a second faster in ideal conditions.
