Counting Sort: no comparisons at all
No comparisons: count how many of each number, turn the counts into last-seat positions, then drop everyone straight into place. O(n + k) — great for small ranges with lots of repeats, and stable.

Mambo: Pancake Sort!
Sorting with a spatula 🥞 The only move allowed: flip the top k pancakes. Flip the biggest to the top, then flip it to the bottom — 6 pancakes sorted in 9 flips. Bill Gates co-wrote a paper on this problem in college.

Shell Sort: big gaps first, then tidy up
Insertion-sort the ones a gap apart, then shrink the gap. Long jumps get everyone close fast, so the last pass has almost nothing left to do.
