Wax cheaper than snax – Munich.

After the Hamburg trip, I headed down to Munich to play for @joyride______ at @goldener.reiter .

While in town, I made a quick trip to @rivierarecords.de . I’ve ordered from their site in the past and they always have the goodies.

As usual, I went straight to the electronic crates searching for budget cuts. They have more stock online than in the physical store, which is a cool half-coffee shop, half-record shop setup.

I had less than an hour to dig. I picked up a few records, but only one from the cheap bins really caught my ear.

Record: E.H.R. – Enrapture
Track: Waterflow
Label: Soap Records
Country: Germany
Year: 1996 Price: 5€

Which shop should I visit next time in Munich?

This week’s #aterralmix comes from @mandel_419 — Berlin-based DJ, record collector and resident at Refuge Worldwide.

If you’ve spent enough time digging around Berlin, chances are you’ve crossed paths with Mandel in one of the city’s record shops. That same curiosity shapes his selections, exploring the meeting point of West African rhythms, house, disco and global sounds in a way that feels effortless.

This Saturday marks the 10th Joyride and the first ride of the year 🧚🏼‍♀️

Very happy to welcome @mandel_419 from Berlin — one of the finest selectors in deep, soulful and groove-heavy house. From Panorama Bar to Renate, Sisyphos and beyond, his sets carry that unmistakable warmth, swing and rhythm.

Opening the night at @spin_bar_ : @m0retti.linda b2b @carlotabama both part of the @radio80000 cosmos. Expect instinct-driven selections moving through Latin, Electro and Breaks — blending classic Spanish sounds with new wave genres like Neoperreo.

Joining us in the club is local legend @djpeebee , known for blending deep atmospheric layers with driving grooves and sonically rich dancefloor energy. Founder of Routes and host of Routes Radio on Radio 80000.

Couldn’t think of a better way to start this year’s journey.
Come early, stay late ❤️‍🔥

Had the great opportunity to step in last minute at @room303radio last month while in Tokyo.

It was a really fun challenge playing with no prep, just spinnin’ fresh wax I found during my first few days in the city.⛷️

Massive shoutout to @do25inco for makin it happen and the @room303radio crew for the trust and the space.💜🙏🏽
