Just a couple of newlyweds having adventures and making things in our tiny garage shop!

In case you missed it…

*swipe to the end for a video of the leak*😳

Last night our sweet little garage shop flooded due to a broken water heater in the unit upstairs. Lots of our tools and all of the wood we purchased *yesterday* for our next big project is ruined. We are pretty bummed, but here is what we know.

~Nothing is a surprise to God! He is good and is with us as we navigate this issue.

~ We have renters insurance for a reason! We’ve submitted a claim and many receipts and we are hopeful that they will move quickly to reimburse us for our losses.

~ It could have been worse. We are so thankful that it is isolated to our garage, that it wasn’t an issue that threatened our safety, and that we have kind neighbors who alerted us and emergency maintenance!

Unfortunately this means that it might be a minute before we are able to fix/replace the ruined items which means our big project is on hold.

Hopefully we will be back on your feed and building again soon! ❤️

Here’s a sneak peek at a special video we are working on for you.

Full disclosure I (Madison) wholly underestimated the time it would take to edit said video🙃

Happy Friday, friends!

It’s about 1000 degrees here in TX, so we’re headed out for happy hour margs to celebrate the weekend!

BUT

Before we ✌🏼 out, we wanted to post this sneak peek of a commissioned piece Andrew just finished for a dear friend of ours!

She gave us a lot of creative liberty with it, so we went all out!

Hey guys! 👋

WE’RE BACK! As you know, @mrfredharris and I are both teachers, so we took almost the first whole month of our summer break to rest, recoup, go on vacation for our first wedding anniversary, and spend time together and with family! It’s been wonderful, but we are so excited to be back and about to start in on some exciting projects!

Stay tuned over the next week for some exciting announcements!

Hi friends! Madison here.

It’s been a cool minute since we’ve posted! I guess that’s what happens when you’re both teachers nearing the end of the school year. 🤪

I have to brag on my super talented husband @mrfredharris because we all know he isn’t going to do it himself 😘

We were commissioned by some friends to create a cabinet for a little empty space in their kitchen that they were looking to glow up! We met over zoom and discussed the overall vibe they were going for, the exact measurements, what kind of hinges and hardware they wanted…everything! We were able to customize every detail to their exact specifications, and yesterday they took it to its forever home 😍

They were so pleased and we were so thankful for the opportunity to create our first large commissioned piece.

Andrew knocked it out if the park and I am so proud of him and his many talents!

Andrew has recently been obsessed with DiscGolf. So a good outlet of his creativity is dying discs! Especially when the weather is below freezing. #makersofinstagram #makersgonnamake #discgolf #discdye #couplegoals #kastaplast by @mandrew_makes

You guys.

These turned out SO cool! I am borderline *obsessed* with my Hobbit disc!

Check out our stories for the full pics, and stay tuned for a video of how we did it all!
