One of the highlights of our home for me is that we were able to incorporate several pieces from the collection I created with @mymitzi last year. If you haven’t already, check out our home tour with @archdigest to see them in action! #linkinbio 💡 Visit @mymitzi to shop the collection #mandychengxmitzi pc: @madelinetolle by @mandychengdesign
Join me for a tour of my own home in Silver Lake, Los Angeles! This was a monster of an undertaking, a test in creativity and patience, and an incredible case study for ideas I’ve been collecting for years. I’m honored to have @archdigest debut the finished home. What an incredible way to start the new year! Visit the link in bio to watch AD’s video tour! Possibly my favorite nook to date! This nook is at the top of a stairwell landing. Rather than ignoring it and sticking a random console here, the clients were down to install a deep reading nook built-in. Topped off with a woodland leopard velvet cushion by @schumacher1889, pillows and a throw, and this little spot is worth the pit stop. pc: @madelinetolle #mandychengdesign #losangelesinteriordesigner by @mandychengdesign
Such a cool, calming and sophisticated living room for an equally cool, calming and sophisticated couple. Their kids were hilarious, everyone had different accents, and their dogs were named after ice cream. This living room refresh took the room from a sleepy and stuffy aesthetic to this serene, chic space. pc: @mali_azima #familyroom #livingroom #mandychengdesign by @mandychengdesign
A lovely time was had at @highpointmarket this past weekend! Thank you @thenkba for having me at Broad Hall alongside my fellow Design Council members @bobby and @nathanorsman. Between the panel and walking the brand tours, I got to spend real time with the people behind the gorgeous and innovative products featured this year. Those conversations are the part of Market I look forward to most 🤍 Check out @thenkba for more! @cosentinousa @blancoamerica1 @bluestarcooking @cabinetjoint @fabuwood @jamesmartinvanities @kichlerlighting @LGUSA @maximlighting @miele @newportbrass @urbanbonfire @swdesignpros @sherwinwilliams @true.caliber @brownjordan1945 @kalamazoogrills #ad #NKBADesignCouncil #NKBA by @mandychengdesign
Have you ever had to source, select, install and tune a baby grand piano on a Friday in time for a Monday morning photo shoot? I have. pc: @madelinetolle #mandychengdesign #losangelesinteriordesigner by @mandychengdesign
This kitchen was designed for clients that really cook, so the cookbooks got a home right in the island, spines out and within reach of the range. They wanted a kitchen with personality, and between the green island, the botanical wallpaper and the copper pendants, this one has plenty of it! It’s the kind of room that makes you happy to walk into first thing in the morning. @theNKBA’s 2027 Kitchen Trends Report is live and one of the big themes is the Emotional Kitchen, which is about designing for how a room makes you feel. This one is a pretty good example! Follow @theNKBA for the full report and more kitchen inspiration all month. pc: @madelinetolle #NKBADesignCouncil #NKBAKitchenTrendsReport #mandychengdesign #ad Open kitchens are here to stay in our book, but the trick is deciding what stays out and what gets hidden! In this Santa Monica home, the glass wall slides open so the outdoor grill becomes part of the kitchen, the beverage fridge sits under the counter, and floating shelves hold the everyday dishes. Everything else lives behind cabinet doors, so the room still feels calm when it’s full of people. I’m on the @theNKBA Design Council this year. If you design kitchens or baths for a living, NKBA membership gets you their research and a community of nearly 55,000 people doing the same work. Sign up at nkba.org/signup! pc: @madelinetolle #NKBADesignCouncil #mandychengdesign #ad We built a bench into the end of this island so there’s always a spot to sit with a coffee while someone else is cooking. We mixed warm wood tones and a bold patterned tile, so the kitchen feels collected over time and very personal to the family who lives here! NKBA’s 2027 Kitchen Trends Report calls this Humanized & Layered Design, meaning a kitchen that matches the person and not the market. Speaking of markets, if you’re at High Point Market this weekend, come find me at Broad Hall on Sunday at 4pm. I’ll be there with @theNKBA, @bobby and @nathanorsman for Cocktails & Conversation. #NKBADesignCouncil #NKBAKitchenTrendsReport #mandychengdesign #ad pc: @madelinetolle by @mandychengdesign
This family room was created by busting through an existing pantry and taking over a back bedroom/den. The result is this gorgeous, light-filled family room that is connected to the breakfast nook and kitchen! Whoever said open concept rooms are on the out is wrong - they will always be functional for families, especially ones with young kiddos! pc: @madelinetolle #mandychengdesign #losangelesinteriordesigner by @mandychengdesign
This primary bedroom refresh was part of a whole home project in Atlanta. The room felt a bit stuffy and outdated, so with fresh colors, furniture and custom curved edge built-ins, the room got a fun overhaul that better reflects the family that lives here! pc: @mali_azima #interiordesigner #mandychengdesign by @mandychengdesign
Our clients wanted their new industrial and bare Tribeca loft to feel like home, and they wanted color ✔️ pattern ✔️ and whimsy ✔️ for their kids. // Mandy Cheng Design as featured by @housebeautiful pc: @madelinetolle #mandychengdesign #interiordesigner #nycinteriordesign by @mandychengdesign
“Soaring ceilings but a narrow footprint made the wife’s home office a bit tricky to navigate. To balance the proportions, Cheng wrapped the room in the Emania Stripe wallpaper from @houseofhackney, a bold, vibrant print she then grounded with rich, neutral fabrics and tones. The wall-mounted storage cabinet visually lowers the ceiling, giving the entire space a more intimate feel.” // Mandy Cheng Design as featured by @housebeautiful pc: @madelinetolle #mandychengdesign #interiordesign #housebeautiful by @mandychengdesign
