Hi my name is Mani & I am a neurodivergent queer feminist practitioner. I love working with and for people. If you resonate with my journey, please reach out to me for any ideas or collaborations you have in mind 🙏

📩: mgwork1314@gmail.com

I’ve been working on neuroqueer initiatives throughout my journey in mental health work. I am so grateful to @zubaanbooks @npicollective @naz_foundation @mariwalahealth for putting out resources. It’s been exhausting and exciting at the same time to deal with the current socio political scenario as a neuroqueer practitioner but I am committed to making it easier.

No liberation for some without liberation for all! 🌻

PSA: My work cannot be mentioned without acknowledging that my privilege in certain ways allows me to access knowledge and spaces. This is not to assert that my work is superior to any other community or credible practitioners out there! 🫂

queer trans joy>>>>🫂💕🌻

(Trans rights are under attack. There is a petition filed in the court to assert biological dominance over the idea of gender without understanding the complexities of the social fabric that south asian queer trans communities operate in. This is all the more reason to protest with queer trans joy.)

The only way my ADHD brain practices self care is when I make it a challenge!

As a mental health practitioner, care can get so boring and monotonous. It can feel like a task for my ADHD brain and I lose the motivation for it.

7 days of care included:
1. Morning coffee/matcha without the phone
2. Read 10 pages of a book
3. Cook a meal
4. A no screen time evening with friends
5. Finish something you’ve been putting off
6. Go for a run
7. Go to bed early

When @indiancraftchocolatefestival sent their care challenge, I was so excited to document all the different ways we can take care of ourselves and celebrate these small wins 🍫

Hopefully I can keep up all these ways of care till end of the year and get better at coping 🫂

$As an ADHD therapist, here’s 3 truths about me that don’t hurt anymore: I struggle 🫂 I forget 🥲 I try 🫠 People with ADHD, especially women bodied people, are often labelled as lazy, too much, too less, not enough, annoying, loud, careless, forgetful and what not. These labels take a toll and along the way we learn to internalise these words. Shedding away this shame has been so freeing 🌤️🌻 To all my ADHDers, autistic frens and AuDHD gang, I see you 💕 #adhd #autism #audhd #neurodivergence #therapy [adhd, autism, audhd, adhd in india, autism in india, rejection sensitivity, justice sensitivity, sensory overwhelm, neurodivergence, neurodivergent, neuroqueer, neurodivergent affirmative therapy, therapist, psychology, psych{ by @maney._$

Joy journalling as an ADHD therapist 💕

Anti AI because AI doesn’t get what it is like to wake up with fatigue or depression or ADHD or a country immersed in protests ☺️
