I found this video from 2016 where I spoke about the importance of changing the narrative. This was during Black History Month celebrations I led as Ethnic Minorities Officer during my undergrad studies at UEA in the UK.

It makes me happy to know that 10 years later I'm still passionate about narrative justice and interrogating who influences what we know and how. I am still deeply interested in the power of stories and that continues to guide my work as a researcher and storyteller. I'm so grateful I continued being exactly who I'm meant to be ✨ by @manie_sunshineee

Last week I presented my research (‘Singing For Di Maléwé’- Resistance, Knowledge, and Political Discourse in Saint Lucia’s Calypso) at the 50th Annual Caribbean Studies Association (CSA) Conference in Kingston 🇯🇲. It was a beautiful reminder to keep walking in my purpose. To continue learning and unlearning, questioning, rethinking and most of all, adding my voice to critical conversations about our region✨ taken in Kingston, Jamaica by @manie_sunshineee
