We’re on our flight to @berryislandlodge and who is on our flight??! Manilla says, “Dad look it’s Donut Lord!!” Who?? I look and see, “Oh my! Jess look it’s cyclops!!” Who?? Jess looks and says, “He’s from the Notebook!!” Dorothy says, “No that’s that’s James Marsden from Jury Duty!!” Then Cali finally settles the argument and explains, “No Manilla is right..that’s for sure the Donut Lord from Sonic!” But next comes the crazy part : Manilla our middle child who never wants to talk to adults he doesn’t know asks for moms phone then approaches James and asks, “Excuse me Mr Marsden, may I please take a photo with you?” !!! THANK YOU @james_marsden for being so kind and warm to our boys. You made their day. You truly are, THE DONUT LORD! :):):) Tag @james_marsden in the comments and hopefully he will see this someday! by @manillagee

11 years ago I stood right here with Garrett. He thought we were just taking a photo until I whispered in his ear.. “I’m pregnant!” 9 months later our fist son was born! WE LOVE YOU MANILLA! ❤️ by @manillagee

Celebrating the Knicks the only way I know how.. 🏀 @thebucketlistfamily /// #knicks #nba #finals by @manillagee

Our arrival to @wacosurf_tx! Growing up, did you ever have a big event or game and the night before you would shine your soccer cleats or prep your gear?? As soon as we arrived the kids waxed up their boards and got ready for our first surf session tomorrow! (also Manilla falling asleep after the looong overnight flight 🥰😴😘) /// #bucketlist #family #travel #surf #wacosurf by @manillagee

The moment he sees dad..🥹 Congratulations @manillagee 🥲 /// @thebucketlistfamily by @manillagee

Manilla’s 1st organized basketball game and 1st ever basket..AT THE BUZZER! I showed the scoreboard at the end because I thought it was funny how Manilla celebrated as if they won the NBA FINALS but they actually lost and got beat down quite severely;) It’s okay Manilla, you only score your first points once..so go and celebrate! :):):) @thebucketlistfamily by @manillagee

@manillagee is naturally our shy middle child. Last month he came home from school and says, “Mom! I just got casted for the lead role in the Christmas play! And I’m supposed to pretend like I’m a cool guy!” 😨 He was quite nervous. He is a great surfer and soccer player like his dad but I don’t know if I ever see him smile quite as big as when he’s on stage dancing and performing. Garrett and I were all 😍🥹🥲 watching him shine bright! ❤️ by @manillagee

When it was my own 6th birthday party my friend gifted me a ninja turtle flashlight. I opened it and said out loud in front of everyone “I already have one of these!” He started to cry and I felt terrible and I’ve never forgotten that moment. Sooo now we have a tradition in our family : When our kids open a present, they, together with all their friends and everyone at the party go “Oooohhhh!! YAY!!!” And cheer for every gift no matter what it is. It’s actually really fun and makes the experience hype..FOR EVERYONE :) ps. Another birthday hack and shoutout to my cheapskate under frugal wife. I noticed her putting already half melted candles into his birthday cake. “Did you save those candles from last year??!” Yup.
