Stanley Chow’s MCR Made exhibition is heading into it’s final week on display in the Manchester Arndale so we caught up with the Manchester Met alumnus to hear about how Manchester has influenced his work.

With 13 icons represented as giant inflatables suspended from the ceiling, it’s hard to ignore the impact they’ve each had 🐝

We’re very grateful to Engineers and Scientists in Business Fellowship (@esbfcharity) for funding this year’s Science and Engineering Innovation Award. Combined with a valued contribution from MyyVenture Capital, they are supporting student and graduate entrepreneurs through our inaugural Accelerator programme.

Congratulations to Rosie, who received the award following an impressive pitch to the judging panel.

Ten of our Manchester Met graduates have been supported by @factory_international and @adidasoriginals to create a new exhibition, Common Frequency.

Farah Khalil and Phoebe Bonser are two of our graduates forming part of the 20 creatives in the adidas Original Creative Network (OCN) North cohort.

Together they have worked to create an immersive, visual installation that explores the transformative power of music 🎶

Abi Black, Anna Pugh, Ayseha Ali, Letitia Colling, Pelumi Fatayo, Ramiyah Kofi, Rosie Callaghan and Toni McCoy-Hopwood are the other Manchester Met graduates featured in the cohort. by @manmetalumni

Manchester Met has been named Modern University of the Year 2027 by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide for the second consecutive year!

We have also been awarded University of the Year for Scholarships and Bursaries!

Today’s graduates were once prospective students wondering whether university was within reach.

Across our scholarship programme, support turns ambition into achievement.

As this year’s ceremonies concluded, we celebrated what philanthropy has made possible, including 1,000 First Generation Scholarships awarded.

But the need remains. Talented students still face barriers to higher education and the opportunities it can create.

Thanks to philanthropy, lives have been transformed. With continued support, even more students can realise their potential.
