Hat Man is now fully DMX controlled. Brightness, colors, and effects can all be adjusted from a console.

The interface between the two is a custom XLR to TRS adapter.

I made a knife!
For a first time, I don't think it came out too bad!
I had a great time at @dragons_breath_forge crafting this one-of-a-kind blade. That being said, I think I'll leave it to the professionals. Glad I tried it, though! by @mannequin_ick

That's a wrap for me at Lake Compounce season 2025. A goodbye is honestly more bitter than sweet.
I had the privilege of working with so many awesome people, all of whom put in a lot of effort to make this season stand out.

Scare acting was a big leap for me. I was super nervous to join initially, but the second I did, I knew I was in for a treat. Project Nightmare was full of long, cold nights (and a couple slaps from guests). I had the honor of playing the most colorful of all the Icks: Mannequin Ick (Manny for short).
Despite the tiresome show nights, it was the best thing I've done to date. Scaring guests as Manny in unique and surprising ways brought me an interesting kind of joy. Alongside me was a cast and crew who were amazing and put in 100% every night, the best I could have wished for: @jackieblasting @angelaceved0 @nexus_hex @bellagoldman7246 @sv2.official @harrison.greene2244 @tobiwithasideofbeans @glitterbombsomnomancer @junkhorror2000 @d_nastri24 these and everyone I didn't mention outright. Saying goodbye to something that meant so much to me wasn't easy at all. Heartbreaking doesn't begin to describe it.
Out of it, however, I have many new friends and unforgettable memories to match. I wouldn't trade those in for anything.

Holiday Lights was another journey. Hosting Gingy the Gingerbread (played by @junkhorror2000) was really fun and new to me. Gingy and I had a blast greeting guests and putting smiles on their faces (despite a few tears from kids).
Cleanup from Holiday Lights was tiring but it went by rather quickly with our small crew.

To everyone I worked with, whether we crossed paths every night or just a few times: from the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this season truly excellent.

I've got high hopes for the 2026 season, and I'd love to see some familiar faces again. by @mannequin_ick

Most people recognize him by the hat....

For some it's his dark silhouette, for others, his eerie stillness, but all who've seen him can agree he's one to be feared.

This project was about a month of designing, printing (about 90 hours total), sanding, et cetera. The majority of the parts are PLA with the rest (jaw and head support structure) being PETG. Every one of them was designed by me although I will not be sharing the files for this project (I am willing to have my mind changed, however).

The last photo shows the inside structure that keeps the piece on the wearer's head. The chin strap and foam do a pretty good job of keeping the rather top-heavy headpiece on.

I also have most of the rest of the fit done including a trench coat and a tie.

There were a lot of ups and downs during the build process, but I'm overall quite pleased with how it turned out! 😄
I have a lot of fun stuff planned for this costume so look out for that.
