Lord did I trust you!

On April 20,2023 I was announced the 19th Miss Harris Stowe State University. To be completely honest I was definitely not going to take the position … I know it’s crazy! I felt as if I wasn’t going to be the best person for the position and was afraid of my imposter syndrome get the best of me but I would like to say that I’m happy that I made the decisions. I was able to represent my institution throughout the summer time and show how the only HBCU in St. Louis handles business and it has been nothing but a blessing.

On October 25,2023 I was crowned as the Noble 19th Miss Harris Stowe State University and I will say my dreams came true and inner child was healing to be the first African American- Polynesian Queen at the ONLY HBCU in st.louis, Missouri it was a an emotional rollercoaster. Due to me being apart of royal court previously servings as Miss Junior the last time I was in a coronation a week before hand I had to say goodbye to my father so having his anniversary and memories of where I was two years ago to now being the UNIVERSITY Queen spotlight and pressure was definitely on. That day brought me closer to my Hornet family and court ever since this day it has been nothing but amazing and to be apart of this amazing court the Resilient Royals is something else and just wait for what we have for this upcoming spring😉.

The comeback is always stronger than the setback!

To be a queen is to emulate the beauty and intelligence of my fallen ancestors. A queen is humble, Will-full, and addresses every situation with a servant leadership mindset. A queen is authentic yet leads by example while exemplifying what it truly means to be royal in every aspect.

In honor of AAPI month and serving in the capacity as a biracial queen I will spread awareness of not only my culture, but other unique cultures in our hbcu community. I aim to help highlight all of our students rather if you are from across the country or an international student. Being a young biracial Afro-Polynesian woman has helped me become independent and strong plus appreciative for others who have come before me and letting me being able to acknowledge them.🇦🇸

I give special thanks to my family, friends, faculty, and staff most importantly HORNET nation ! For believing in me and my abilities to serve in a leadership position on our illustrious campus. Most importantly, I give thanks to my beloved father for pouring this immense passion of caring for others inside of me I will uphold the Atuatasi legacy in your honor and become the best version of myself ❤️
