Small business owner. Community builder. Candidate for D8 Supervisor.
We Can Build It.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

After a great deal of reflection, I have made the difficult decision to suspend my campaign for District 8 Supervisor.
I am not admitting to having assaulted anyone and some of the things that are being said about me are fundamentally untrue. But I am deeply sorry for any boundaries that I crossed. I’m going to take this time to work on myself.
As I said from the very beginning, I’m not a typical candidate. Moving through the machinery of San Francisco’s politics has left me with very little light left in my heart.
This campaign has meant more to me than I can put into words. Over the past months, I have had the privilege of talking with thousands of San Franciscans about the city we love, the challenges we face, and the future we want to build together..
This was never just about winning an election for me. It was about serving a city that has given me so much and bringing people together around the belief that San Francisco can once again take on big challenges with ambition, creativity, and confidence.
I am incredibly proud of the campaign we built and of the community that formed around it. I am especially grateful to all of the block captains, house party hosts, family, friends, staff, volunteers, supporters, and everyone who stood with me.
My campaign may be suspended, but my work to help build a better San Francisco has only just begun.

Repost! A little good energy from one of San Francisco’s most magical corners. 🌹 Patrick Ferry has poured his heart into @theswordandrose for more than 40 years. If you haven’t visited this hidden Cole Valley gem yet, consider this your sign. by @mannyforsf

Some people call our ideas pie in the sky. Well, I like pie.
The problems facing San Francisco are big, so the solutions must be too. There’s no reason we can’t fix the sidewalks, make the busses run on time, AND tackle big ideas.
Comment “dream” and we’ll send you the plans. by @mannyforsf

We’re incredibly proud of all of our block captains, canvass volunteers, and yes, house party hosts. We have hosted over 150 house parties (and more scheduled) and knocked on over 13,000 doors (on track to reach 20,000 by election day). This is a grassroots campaign of listening and representing all the people of district 8.
We want you to be a part of it, too! Comment “campaign” and we’ll send you a link with everything you need to know. by @mannyforsf

Our campaign just received the endorsement of our Mayor, Daniel Lurie!
I'm deeply grateful to the Mayor for believing in me and in this campaign, and incredibly proud to have his endorsement, because I know what we can accomplish together.
We've spent years working side by side to make San Francisco better, and now we have the chance to bring that partnership to City Hall. I'm ready to work with Mayor Lurie to build more housing, strengthen our neighborhoods, fill vacant storefronts, and improve transit.
Thank you, @danielluriesf! by @mannyforsf

San Francisco Firefighters Local 798 has endorsed our campaign for District 8!
Thank you to the members of @sffdlocal798. Over the past few weeks I visited every fire station in the district, sat down with the crews, and rode along on the trucks. These are the people who show up on the worst day of a stranger's life, and too many of them can't afford to live in the city they protect.
That's Local 798 President Sam Gebler and Secretary Mario Flaherty with me in the second photo.
One more thing. The last photo is of my father, who fought fires from helicopters for 40 years. We're still not really talking these days, but a part of me knows this will make him proud. by @mannyforsf
