Two sets, two completely different sides of my musical universe at @groovenbassfestival

On Friday night, I had the pleasure of playing my Downtempo live set with @meli_manolias at the Dawn Temple. A deep and introspective journey filled with atmospheric textures, hypnotic rhythms, vocal layers, live guitar and Stylophone. Thanks @lauboisso it was an unforgettable moment 🤍

Then on Sunday afternoon, I switched gears for my Psytech / Dark Minimal live set on the @entropiacanada stage. A darker and more powerful journey featuring lots of unreleased music.

I’m incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to share both sides of the Digital Committee project during the same weekend.

Thank you to the Groove & Bass crew, everyone involved in the festival, and everyone who came to dance, listen and share these moments with us. 🖤

First remix 🎛️

I joined a techno remix contest for the first time and loved the exercise: you get the stems of the original track and rebuild it into your own version, your own style.
For this one I set myself a challenge: finish it in 4 hours. Far from perfect but it's out! 🖤

Very excited to announce that I’ll be playing a live downtempo set with @digitalcommittee on July 9th in downtown Montréal for Jardins d’ @illusionfestival ☀️

We’ve been cooking up new music for this one and can’t wait to finally share these new tracks live. Looking forward to celebrating summer under the sun at Les Jardins Gamelin with @illusionfestival crowd!

For the occasion, @ombressonores will also be taking over the outdoor space with a special showcase featuring different artists throughout the evening.

And the best part: it’s completely free.

Back in the studio, creating new tracks for a mysterious live set dropping on July 9 (feeling excited 🤪)

This is a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the process, showing that music production really means spending long hours trying, failing, tweaking, and starting over… again and again.

These new tracks will be included in the live project started with Digital Committee a few months ago… slowly building a darker, downtempo psychedelic journey.

Lately I’ve been diving into new production techniques, especially around sound design using real-world recordings (which gives me a good excuse to finally put my Zoom H6 recorder to use 🎙️)… and also, let’s be honest, expanding that never-ending plugin collection (Pigments, Serum, Infiltrator, Life, Portal, Vital, Saturn, Valhalla… you know how it goes 😅).

I’m starting to really enjoy composing in this downtempo genre ; still quite new to me, but I can feel it opening up exciting avenues.

A few shots from recent studio sessions with @florianmsk for the NT Luxe project 🖤

This project dives into dark synthwave (a genre that was still quite new to me) and started from Florian looking for a vocalist. I decided to step in and explore, and it turned into a really meaningful first experience in a professional recording studio.

I got to be part of the whole process: writing lyrics, shaping melodies, recording multiple vocal layers, diving into the details of mixing and vocal processing ; so the voice truly blends with the atmosphere of the track.

It’s been a deep creative journey, discovering how much intention goes into every detail you hear in a final song.

Still a work in progress… but the tracks should be ready to listen to in the coming months. ✨
