Mansions on Fifth Hotel has provided the background for several television and movie productions over the years. Most recently, in the Spring of last year, a Netflix production company took up residence at Mansions on Fifth to film "The Pale Blue Eye" starring Christian Bale.

Its plot follows veteran detective Augustus Landor in 1830 West Point, New York, as he investigates a series of murders at the United States Military Academy with the aid of Edgar Allan Poe, a young military cadet.

We paired up these movie stills with their location in the dining room, parlor, and library. It's interesting to see how the filmmakers transformed these spaces into an entirely new world.
