🔗 Link in Bio! Wir befinden uns mitten in einem KI-Wettrüsten, angetrieben von wirtschaftlichen Interessen und Milliardeninvestitionen in KI-Labore. Die damit verbundenen extremen Risiken werden bisher ignoriert, dazu zählen:
- Auswirkungen auf die Umwelt durch Rechenzentren.
- Machtkonzentration bei wenigen Unternehmen, Ungleichheit und wegfallende Jobs.
- Massenüberwachung, Cyberangriffe und autonome Waffensysteme.
- Die Erschaffung zukünftiger KI-Systeme, die dem Menschen kognitiv um ein Vielfaches überlegen sind und ein menschlicher Kontrollverlust, vor dem führende Wissenschaftler und die Chefs der größten KI-Labore bereits seit 2023 warnen.

Gemeinsam mit Luisa Neubauer widmen sich PauseAI und aisafety.berlin diesen und weiteren Risiken der KI-Entwicklung. Online Dienstag, 25. August 2026, um 18 Uhr. Wir finden: egal, welche dieser Gefahren einen am meisten umtreibt, der erste Schritt bleibt derselbe. Wir brauchen eine Entwicklungspause! Für uns, für die Gesellschaft, für die Umwelt.

Im zweiten Teil soll es genau darum gehen: Welche Themen sind gerade am dringendsten, wo wirkt politischer Druck, und wie wird man selbst aktiv?

Geleitet wird das Webinar von Simon W. Sperl, Policy Lead bei der Bürgerbewegung PauseAI, und Manuel Allgaier, Co-Founder von aisafety.berlin, einem gemeinnützigen Netzwerk für Menschen, die an sicherer KI arbeiten. Im Anschluss ist Zeit für Fragen und Austausch.

I'm planning a workation for ~two weeks in January with @_evy.boo and 4-6 friends, and we're now deciding where to go. Leaning towards Lisbon or nearby. Any communities or co-living / co-working spaces you'd recommend?

ocation-wise, we're leaning towards Lisbon, because of:
- the weather: 15° average + 3x more sun than Berlin in January
- cheap flights: 60€ return from Berlin incl. CO2 compensation
- the city (charming, international, laid-back)

Some friends recommended Fools Valley North of Lisbon, the place seems pretty great, though some of us have a (slight) preference for the city. Know any other such spaces?

~~~ tldr: Room free in Berlin, want to come live with us? + events + how should we name our new home? ~~~

My good friend Nadia and I are looking for 1-2 people to join us in our new flatshare in Berlin-Wedding, from 1st Oct or later. Long-term preferred, but we're open to short-term, too.

We're lucky to have seven friends and our EA coworking space with ~30 regulars (www.teamwork-berlin.org), all within 10min cycling distance. We want our flat to be a vibrant space with regular events where friends and friends of friends meet, connect, learn, grow, and have a good time. We've hosted themed dinners, improv theatre, game nights, co-working, co-reflection sessions, (ecstatic) dance and acroyoga in our living room before, and we have many more ideas.
