Sananga is a traditional plant medicine used by the Huni Kuin tribe and several other indigenous Amazonian communities. It is prepared from the roots and bark of the *Tabernaemontana* plant species, which contain alkaloids believed to have powerful medicinal properties.

In the Huni Kuin culture, sananga is primarily used as an eye drop to enhance vision, clear visual blockages, and promote spiritual insight. This morning, I found myself thinking about the people who have been part of my life. We often talk about gratitude, but I realize my deepest thanks go to those who have shown me their true selves. In the mountains, we gather herbs for the Inipi, pray as we cook, and welcome everyone with open hearts. Out there, no one is above anyone else; we are all equal. I create all the tiaras with whatever wild plants I find. For me, it’s just so exciting to see their smiles.

I am thankful for every person who has crossed my path with humility and an open heart, willing to share their deepest secrets. Today, I send a prayer to the mountains of the Sacred Valley and hope your guidance stays with me always.

The last image in this video shows the figure of a face carved into the mountain. Whether you believe it or not, we captured this image while singing together around the fire at night. Some things, like the spirit, cannot be explained by science; they simply exist.

Esta mañana, me encontré pensando en las personas que han formado parte de mi vida. A menudo hablamos de gratitud, pero me doy cuenta de que mi más profundo agradecimiento va a quienes me han mostrado su verdadera esencia. En las montañas, recolectamos hierbas para el Inipi, oramos mientras cocinamos y recibimos a todos con el corazón abierto. Allí, nadie es superior a nadie; todos somos iguales. Preparo todas las tiaras de las plantas silvestres que encuentro. Para mí, es muy emocionante ver sus sonrisas.

Agradezco a cada persona que se ha cruzado en mi camino con humildad y un corazón abierto, dispuesta a compartir sus secretos más profundos. Hoy, elevo una oración a las montañas del Valle Sagrado y espero que su guía me acompañe siempre.
