🐑 Para los que hablan inglés: If someone (ever) asks you about me, show them this picture. 🐑 Para los que hablan español: Si alguien (alguna vez) te pregunta por mí, muéstrales esta foto. 🐑 I’m a filmmaker/illustrator/graphic designer/many things in between and beyond, based in Brussels. I grew up surrounded by mountains in Quito, Ecuador; living life spread between sunny mornings and rainy afternoons. My work focuses on the body: a body that changes, that’s trying to find its place in the world. It’s also about memories and grief of past times and people. There is a subtle, guilty humor in it too. An imperative need to chew on sad things with a smile or a chuckle. 🐑 I like working on my own, but enjoy collaborating in bigger projects from time to time; or taking on videography, photography and graphic design gigs to discover what’s going on around me. 🐑 This picture comes from my master’s thesis film. We were filming “live action” avatars for a made-up virtual world. We wanted options, although I did not make it to the final cut. 🐑 Congratulations for reading this far! Apparently people don’t read anymore. I like to believe that’s not true. Or that we cannot let it happen. Feel free to visit my site (link in bio) to see more of my work! Para los que han visitado mi casa en Quito, sé que se habrán topado con la Eva en algún momento. Grande, cariñosa, cuidadora de la casa. A veces un poco tosca, como si no se diera cuenta del tamaño que tiene, pero siempre con amor. En los últimos meses la he visto batallar por su patita a través de una pantalla de celular. Después de una fractura y dos cirugías fallidas, estamos aquí: Trípode, una patita menos; y yo en asombro continuo de lo resiliente que es, de cómo se adapta a circunstancias en las que yo no sabría cómo seguir adelante. Y también agradecida de tener una familia igual de aguerrida y amorosa como la Eva. Agradecida de tener a mis tías, por siempre mis tías ❤️‍🩹 El otro día hice esta ilustración/collage que tenía en la cabeza desde hace semanas. Un intento de capturar mi deseo de estar allí para apoyarle, y de lo mucho que me veo reflejada en la Eva (podría hablar horas de eso). Entre tres cirugías y meses de tratamiento, ya se imaginarán la cuenta. Así que esta es mi forma de preguntar: ¿Habría gente interesada en comprar un print de esta ilustración para reunir fondos? ✨ Join 2026WOMEN for the Post-Tribunal Evening at Madam Fortuna ✨ On Monday 29 June at 18:30, we gather at @madamfortuna_vzw for an evening of reflection, exchange and looking towards the future. We will share the outcomes of the Tribunal, the collaborations and partnerships that grew from this process, and the different ARTivist and ACTivist practices that emerged along the way. The evening will also mark the archiving of the Tribunal at CARHIF and open a space to discuss future plans and next steps together. “صوتي | Mijn Stem,” the latest performance by 2026women, took the stage at Arenberg on March 26th and 27th during the International Tribunal for Crimes Against Women.✨ This powerful spectacle was created in just four days by 40 women from Antwerp, Barcelona, Marseille, and Rotterdam. It wove together the languages of its participants—Arabic, Urdu, Wolof, Spanish, Basque, Italian, French, Dutch, Berber, Slovak, Portuguese, and more—into a vibrant tapestry of voices. Directed by Alix Konadu, with musical direction by Céline Di Maccio and choreography by Katja Pire, the production was brought to life by an all-women team—musicians, technicians, set designers, costume artists, and producers. “Sauti – My Voice” was a celebration of love, hope, resilience, and sisterhood.
