Andy releases in full today, @romi.wrights debut album ❤️‍🔥
To connect with so many people throughout the creation and performance of this album has filled my cup to the brim. Thank you Lisa for placing your trust in me to bring this body of work from our earliest conversations dreaming what could be, through to last night listening with friends & whānau at our Tāmaki listening party. You came along as my northern star in a dark sky, pointing the both of us in the direction we always knew we needed be going in. It’s an absolute joy to be on this journey with a friend like you, sharing the highs and lows over the last 5 years, the highs and (hopefully not too many) lows that I look forward, with immense gratitude, to sharing with you in the years to come. You are a star, something I’ve known since we first ever met, and someone whom I call one of my dearest friends ❤️‍🔥

This album has @andyheartthrob in its heart, from her being at the first recording session we shared, the encouragement and hype throughout the years as we would share songs we were working through. I wish she could have heard it in its entirety, but we know she’s with us on this journey as well, and hold that with a passion close to our hearts. We all miss you. And the Orani family for your blessing on this album, it’s an immeasurable honour to have Andy’s name grace our body of work as its title.

There is a massive number of musicians and visual artists that contributed to Andy, to each and everyone one of you, my most sincere thank yous and love. I’m by no means an excellent musician, but the people who played on this record are and I’d be nothing without your support and faith in the vision and recording this record. To have an extended whānau of musicians who I look up to play on this record is a feeling I still pinch myself about. To be sharing space within Aotearoa’s deep rooted music and visual arts communities is a privilege that will never be lost on me.

And to all of you who have come to the shows, bought the singles & album and given us love and encouragement in any shape or form, this record is for you and we are so proud to finally be able to share it.
