Here’s My Artist Biography. Manuel Alexander Trinidad Lopez (born May 27, 2006), known professionally as Manu St, is a Dominican-American record producer, songwriter, and recording artist based in Montclair, New Jersey. He is known for a production style described as a “gritty clarity” mix, drawing stylistic elements from classic hip-hop and underground rap. Manu began producing music prior to the COVID-19 pandemic under the initial pseudonym D!XDA, focusing primarily on EDM genres. His early production style was influenced by electronic artists such as Martin Garrix, Alan Walker, Marshmello, and Skrillex. During a subsequent three-year period of experimentation within underground digital communities on platforms such as Discord, Lopez released music under a series of changing monikers, including vntaro, dxxmster, makisu, toethzo, and sk8te. He also utilized secondary and collaborative side accounts under the names izukokidd, kusorai, monkelegawd, kayne east, skawte, and suketo. During this phase, his production work was influenced by internet-based producers including Bsterthegawd, KidPhlame, Progresstheproducer, and *+Ra.ymon. Following a personal re-evaluation and commitment to the Christian faith, Lopez retired his previous pseudonyms and initiated a comprehensive creative rebrand under the stage name Manu St. With the rebrand, Lopez transitioned away from electronic dance music to focus on classic, lyrical hip-hop production. His current musical output is characterized by a “gritty clarity” sonic profile, utilizing minimalist, hard-hitting drum arrangements and atmospheric samples inspired by artists such as Mobb Deep, Nas, MF DOOM, Kendrick Lamar, and Tyler, The Creator. As Manu St, he has engaged in collaborative releases and productions with independent artists and producers, including Taliray, Progress, and Imyshaun. His thematic content frequently addresses personal struggle, cultural identity, resilience, familial relationships, and Christian theology. As long as I have Jesus’s breath in my lungs, I’ll keep crafting. 🙏🏽 God bless. by @manustiscreative

Yo! Manu St here! I hope that you guys have been doing well this week, uhm I wanted to speak a little further about the recent reel I posted about the promo posters I put up around Harrison, Newark, Bloomfield, And Montclair. I know they I barely make posts about the certain things I do, but I feel like this one deserves to be talked about about, I’m trying to gather myself together recently with my music and life overall and I hasn’t been so easy either, but I’m going to try to make music for my rapping/singing name @manu_reddx and my producer name which were you might be seeing this from, but I want to approach my music differently, I know that I am very self-oriented musically but I wanted to make some polls to see what you guys think, uhm I hope that this post makes it to you! God bless you! #fyp #music #manust #drawing #graffiti by @manustiscreative
