Inspirée par les vitrines des horlogers et joaillers visibles autour de Halle Nord, L’Argent Comme Seul Lien prend la forme d’un véritable présentoir de luxe. Tendu de velours bleu royal — à l’image du drapeau européen —, l’espace met en scène une tiare fabriquée à partir de pics anti-pigeons. Ces dispositifs de dissuasion aviaire, également très présents sur les rebords des fenêtres des façades cossues du quartier, font écho à l’intérêt de l’artiste pour les dynamiques de pouvoir contemporaines, à l’instar de l’Europe-bunker retranchée, où s’exhibent le privilège de quelques un·e·s·x et la persistance d’un ordre féodal.

BIOGRAPHIE
La pratique de Morales Délano s’étend à divers médiums et prend souvent la forme d’installations in situ qui interrogent l’impact économique et social des héritages coloniaux. Ses œuvres incluent fréquemment des évocations abstraites de l’accumulation de richesses, de la domination et de la dévotion. Elle a participé à des expositions institutionnelles à la Kunsthalle Basel (Bâle, CH); au Kunsthaus Baselland (Bâle, CH); au Musée Tinguely (Bâle, CH); au Museo de la Solidaridad Salvador Allende (Santiago, CL) et au Centro Cultural La Moneda à Santiago du Chili (Santiago, CL).

Vi presentiamo le artiste e gli artisti di DEEP ROOTS.

04.07–22.08.2026

Manuela Morales Délano, vive e lavora a Basilea, in Svizzera. Nel 2022 ha conseguito un Master presso l’Institute Art Gender Nature di Basilea. Artista e curatrice presso Mario Kreuzberg, sviluppa una pratica multidisciplinare con particolare attenzione alla scultura.

Attraverso oggetti quotidiani, materiali semplici e il rapporto tra corpo e spazio domestico, esplora temi come accumulo, dominio e devozione. Le sue opere ricostruiscono e reinventano storie e contesti specifici, creando tensioni tra narrazioni imposte e tradizioni popolari, e riflettono sul complesso rapporto tra esseri umani e natura.

Ha esposto alla Kunsthalle Basel, alla 36ª Biennale di Arti Grafiche di Lubiana, alla Gallery Kendra Jayne Patrick, alla Halle Nord e a TEOR/éTica.

We are pleased to introduce the artists of DEEP ROOTS.

Manuela Morales Délano, lives and works in Basel, Switzerland. She received her Master’s degree from the Institute Art Gender Nature in Basel in 2022. An artist and curator at Mario Kreuzberg, her multidisciplinary practice focuses on sculpture.

Using everyday objects, inexpensive materials, and the relationship between the body and domestic space, she explores themes of accumulation, domination, and devotion. By reconstructing and fictionalizing specific histories and contexts, her work creates tensions between imposed narratives and vernacular traditions while reflecting on the complex relationship between humans and nature.

Her work has been exhibited at Kunsthalle Basel, the 36th Ljubljana Biennale of Graphic Arts, Gallery Kendra Jayne Patrick, Halle Nord, and TEOR/éTica.

Join us for the opening on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 6:30 PM.

Esta exposición se entiende fácil porque su astucia es directa y transparente; por lo tanto, quien la explica no puede evitar sentirse un poco tonto. Mi sugerencia es que la observen. En este acto tan pasivo, será muy difícil no reconocerla como una situación poderosamente simple, llena de un humor poético, un humor de las cosas.

Manuela Morales Délano (Chile) y Charles Benjamin (Suecia) viven y trabajan en Basilea, Suiza. Son directores del proyecto Mario Kreuzberg, fundado en 2016 por Manuela en el barrio Kreuzberg, en Berlín. En el 2020, el proyecto da un giro con su traslado a Basilea, donde continua con la incorporación de Charles en el equipo. En este contexto, han colaborado con artistas internacionales y chilenos, facilitando un espacio de experimentación y amistad y trabajando in situ con materiales disponibles desde la facilidad y el gesto. Su muestra en Instituto Tele Arte es la continuación de la residencia realizada por Manuela y Charles en Oficinas Meteoro (Santiago, 2024).

This exhibition is easy to understand because its cleverness is direct and transparent; therefore, whoever explains it cannot help but feel a little foolish. My suggestion is that you observe it. In this passive act, it will be very difficult not to recognize it as a powerfully simple situation, full of poetic humor, a humor of things.

Manuela Morales Délano (Chile) and Charles Benjamin (Sweden) live and work in Basel, Switzerland. They are directors of the Mario Kreuzberg project, founded in 2016 by Manuela in the Kreuzberg neighborhood of Berlin. In 2020, the project took a new turn with its move to Basel, where it continues with the addition of Charles to the team. In this context, they have collaborated with international and Chilean artists, facilitating a space for experimentation and friendship and working in situ with readily available materials. Their exhibition at Instituto Tele Arte is a continuation of Manuela and Charles' residency at Oficinas Meteoro (Santiago, 2024). by @manuza
