Finally we get a promo shot! SO excited to see Lesley as Margaret, the wait is killing me. For those who have seen Mrs Harris - how brilliant was the little shoutout to Princess Margaret that they snuck in there? Instantly made me smile! Definitely a testament to how much we’re all eagerly anticipating seeing her in this role, I think.

To say that it’s been a while would most certainly be an understatement — it’s been coming up to a year since we’ve posted! longer since one by me specifically, too. I’ve missed being here and am really excited to get back into using this account and sharing whatever news/new content I can! There’ll be a lot of backlog of things I need to catch up on i’m sure so do bare with me.

Not one for ‘life updates’ on here but I have to mention the only one that matters, because it’s the BEST lesley-related bonus at the moment. I work at a cinema now, roughly translating to: I get to watch free films now 🤣 I’ve seen Mrs Harris Goes to Paris twice as of today and I swear if I wouldn’t get the judgement of my co-workers i’d just keep going and going and going. As I predicted it would, it has instantly become my new favourite Lesley film! Almost as soon as it started, it nabbed itself a place in my hall of fame of comfort films that i’ll go back to again and again when I need to feel good. It’s so warm, so comforting and Lesley is wonderful as ever. I even have a poster saved for me for my room (again, a delightful perk of the job) and i’ll definitely share what it looks like when i have it up! So excited. Has everybody got the chance to see it yet? What were your thoughts?

Lots of love,

Wishing a very happy birthday to our favourite lady, the endlessly brilliant Lesley Manville. 65 has never looked better! 🥳 I can only hope she’s had the most wonderful day. She truly deserves all the love and joy in return for how much she brightens so many of our days with all that she does. ❤️

(I /almost/ used the actual audio of her singing this herself, I really did, but decided it was too much. 🤣 this song in general always reminds me of her though, so I had to use it!)

Happy Birthday to Lesley’s mentor and old friend, Mike Leigh (20 February 1943) 🎉 Here is a photo of the two of them from the 63rd Cannes Film Festival back in 2010. Another Year was one of the films in competition that year. Which one is your favourite Mike Leigh film with Lesley in it? 🎥

Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates! All of us here hope you’ve still had a wonderful and relaxing couple of days, despite this holiday season unfortunately being a little different for many of us this year. Sending love and well wishes to you all. ❤️

Here’s a photo of Lesley and director Thomas Bezucha on the set of Let Him Go. Have you watched the film yet? Lesley’s performance absolutely blew me away. Blanche Weboy is indeed, as one of the reviews says, the best villain of the year, plus Lesley did her own stunts! Let Him Go is in cinemas and on demand in North America now and will be available in other regions soon. Don’t miss Lesley’s powerful portrait of Blanche the badass mama from North Dakota 🔥

That’s a wrap on Mrs Harris Goes to Paris! So excited to see this one. From how Lesley has described it in interviews, I have a strong feeling it is going to become my new favourite film of hers. It sounds like it has a very feel-good, uplifting sort of vibe to it which is what I reach for most with films so i’m so excited. Amazing to see such powerhouses working alongside each other, too. 😍 First image of Lesley and Isabelle together here, along with other co-stars Lucas Bravo and Alba Baptista.

SEPT 2019 / 📸 via @simone1kirby’s IG.

Little throwback to the Simone Rocha show last year at London Fashion Week, where Lesley walked along with her good friend Charlene McKenna. Didn’t she just look a natural on the runway? 😍

Also pictured next to Lesley is Irish actress Simone Kirby. I had just been checking up on how I recognised Simone since they have just introduced her as Mary Malone on the current TV adaption of His Dark Materials (if you haven’t watched yet I would highly recommend, it’s brilliant!), and I realised it was very likely from these photos. I didn’t know who she was at the time these came out, but I remember wondering. What a small world! Such a pleasant surprise to find a photo of the two of them together, especially when it then hit me that they are from two different adaptions of HDM. Mrs. Coulter and Dr. Malone together, who’d have thought it?
