Introduction Time!

I just realized I’ve never properly introduced myself here—so it’s about time!

I know I’m a little late for #MarchMeetTheMaker2025 challenge, but I still wanted to join in and share a bit about myself. I’ll be picking a few prompts that resonate with me and doing as many as I can. So, here’s my Introduction Post!

I’m Manvi, an illustrator and surface designer from Dehradun, India.

The idea of starting my own art business came to me around the COVID time. At the time, I was just painting, learning, and having fun. Then, in 2021, I got my iPad, started exploring Procreate, and dove into all the ways I could turn my passion into a business.

I’ve always been interested in surface design, but funnily enough, I started with illustrating children’s books—something I never planned! I’m so grateful for those opportunities, and now I get to work with some amazing companies. Seeing my designs come to life on different products is an incredible feeling!

I create fun, colorful illustrations for home interiors, stationery, and more. While much of my recent work has been digital, I have a deep love for traditional art—especially watercolors. It’s been my favorite medium for as long as I can remember.

I’m so excited to finally share Namooste, the children’s book I illustrated last year. This project holds a special place in my heart—it’s my favorite so far and also the very first book I got to illustrate, which makes it even more meaningful.

It took me quite a while to complete the illustrations. I had no idea back then just how much work goes into creating a children’s book! But I’m incredibly grateful to @marleekostiner for believing in me and giving me this opportunity.

I’m not sure why it took me so long to post about it, but I’m really happy to finally share something I’m so proud of.

I really enjoyed painting this parrot. I struggled at first with the feathers, but I loved how the lower feathers turned out. ❤️
And this paper by @hahnemuehle_global is amazing to work on. Watercolor paper plays very important role, and I always recommend my students to invest in good papers.

Finally posting these from Japan, only 2 months late 😅

I couldn’t get over the hydrangeas, they were everywhere, and the deer in Nara actually bow to you before you feed them, shrines and temples were something else too, just a different kind of quiet I haven’t really felt anywhere else, but honestly the people were my favorite part, so kind and so fun, made the whole trip.

I took so many pictures for inspiration, and honestly I can’t wait to start painting again. I really need to start a travel sketchbook.

Did a lot of shopping too, might do a separate post just for the stationery I brought back, already thinking about going back next year.

A little life update!

I recently moved Denmark, and it’s been a huge change. I’m still settling in, finding my way around, and slowly making this place feel like home.

It’s incredibly beautiful here and so peaceful. I’m excited for this new chapter and everything that lies ahead, both in life and in my creative work. Denmark taken in Denmark by @manvisem_art

I have some big news!
I got married last November❤️ It’s been a beautiful, life-changing season. Exciting and a little overwhelming all at once!
Things have been a little hectic around here for past few months, but I’m slowly finding my way back to work and routine. And while the wedding was a big change, there’s another one on the way. I’ll share more soon!🥰 by @manvisem_art
