Adrienne -Recently I received some health news that has deeply affected my life and I have not known how to best process it or open up and share the news with others. Cancer in all of its forms has become a more common affliction in this day and age and fortunately a lot of awareness has developed over the past several decades in the effort to better understand it and overcome it. The last thing I expected to hear back from a routine biopsy was “Cancer”, breast cancer to be specific. To be honest I didn’t know what to expect but I don’t think any of us ever really expect difficult news like that, it feels surreal and it brings us directly into the present in a way that is distinctly profound and undeniable. In a weird way I’m grateful despite the fear and anxiety it brings up, it’s offered me the opportunity to face some challenges that perhaps otherwise wouldn’t have come to light and that has been a blessing. I am truly humbled by the kindness, generosity, support and understanding that people have shown me, it’s truly been a humbling experience in letting go and trusting that others will catch you. I’m inspired to fight this the only way I know how, through service to music, community and dedicating my life and voice to trying to raise awareness around these deeper issues we face as a society. Most importantly I aim to talk about it and share my story and journey as best I can. Pride is a funny thing and I’m not the most comfortable when it comes to needing to lean on others, I don’t think I’m alone in that it brings up a sense of unwarranted shame and embarrassment when it comes to accepting the fact that we need help. Some close friends were kind enough to create a GoFundMe to help sustain me during this time, with all the doctors appointments, surgery, chemo and radiation it’s been a huge adjustment and I will need to as best I can focus on healing. I am working part time and continuing to do my music but as we get further into this process those things may be more challenging to keep up with. I’m hoping if anything people will share this and spread the word, I can’t do this by myself and every bit of love throughout this process makes all the difference. by @many.bens

Agenbite Misery is a blackened doom band from NH. They played one of their first shows at Flight Coffee Dover. It was a great gig and I was excited to see where their music would go.
Fast forward to this gig. They have been working super hard on a new album and its sad, evil, freaky and heavy. I'm stoked to be able to help put together a local record release gig for them to celebrate their hard work.
