"I may look weak, but I can't afford to lose!" ~ Noel VermillionTank Space Shoot August 2025Character: Noel VermillionSeries: BlazBluePublisher: @arcsystemworkseurope Yesterday @tankspaceofficial announced it closure.The team were wonderful to work with and I was lucky enough to experience the rain room and the tank last summer.I thought I would share some of my Noel set from that shoot in commiseration.My history with this costume is unusual for me. I have never actually played BlazBlue but my friend @papillonreine commissioned Rachel from me and wanted to walk the masquerade so asked me to do a costume alongside her as the commissioner. I started Noel and had a crisis of confidence because another Cos-Pair were doing Noel and Jin and I didn’t want to be compared. I struggle very much with how I am perceived so I pivoted and made Litchi instead.I have leant my armour, sleeves, beret, boot covers, even the guns out to 3 other Noel cosplayers because I could never face finishing the project. I couldn’t realise the dress the way I wanted in the sewing and on myself.Back in…I want to say 2014 time I was invited as a Cosplay Judge for EGX so I finished Noel to wear for that but she had sat in my closet all this time.I opted to bring her out because this felt like a good send off for her. I ended up destroying the guns during this shoot because of all the water.There’s still a few shots I’d love of her but I’d need to remake the guns so this may be her swan song, but what a way to go!Thank you Tank Space for all the joy and creativity you have inspired in the Cosplay space over the years.
