First the cream tea fest and now the beer fest. I'm not sure what assumptions these festival bookers are making but about us as a choir 🫃🏻 ... but probably fair play. 😋

Our first Falmouth gig this year I think and I think it should be a fun one :)

P.s. the video is our round "Holiday makers" (a @mrbjjackson original) from our performance at @bedruthansteps

What would you have voted for?

I’m having a little tidy in my studio and found this list of names from when we were brainstorming what Many Men Soundsystem were going to be called :) by @manymensoundsystem

Shout out to Dave for running around on the St Agnes cliffs wearing a giant cardboard mask. There's two bits in this take alone where he nearly goes over. :) by @manymensoundsystem

This Saturday we will be responsible for serving up some giant dollops of mirth alongside @johnnypcowling while our audience attempts to bring the cream tea world record home to where it belongs 💪🏻

Get your tickets now (all in aid of @cornwallhospice ) to be part of history.

Unfortunately when we performed at Eden supporting @bastilledan , we were having such a nice time we overran our slot and didn't get a chance to do our last song. It led to this nice little moment.
Flattered to get an encore shout for a support slot! hehe 😝 by @manymensoundsystem

NEW MUSIC! Delighted to say Many Men Soundsystem’s second recording “Seabird” is out now on Rita Records. Head to your local Our Price or Woolworths now to pick up your CD. Alternatively stream it on Spotify or Apple etc.

Produced and Mixed by Ben Jackson (@mrbjjackson)
Recorded by Brendan at @cornish_underground_

Seabird is a song from The Alessi Brothers released in 1976 . I guess it’s about a simple small town guy’s on off relationship with a free spirited girl who likes to travel.

I discovered this song via my friend James playing me the cover by The Innovations (also from 70s). A lot of our harmonies come from that version. Both recordings are special and have a cool yet melancholy vibe (one of my favourite vibes).

This one of those songs that didn’t even chart in its day but has stood the test of time and is being discovered by new people thanks to popping up Spotify playlists and discover feeds purely by virtue of being a great tune.

Anyway, hope you like the tune. Looking forward to singing it tonight at @bedruthansteps @stacks_bythesea

The video will be released soon. I think you’re going to like it…

Chrrrs!

A few weeks ago we took a trip to Redruth Wesley Studio, donned the silent disco headphones and recorded a couple of tunes with @cornish_underground_

The first of these tunes will be coming out very soon 😬
