1. chun cafe - i personally love fluffy bread so the brioche toasts were a hit and combining that with asian flavors and rib eye bulgogi is genius. boba hit too

2. fabel friet - the fries with truffle parm sauce were so tasty but since the sauce is only on top i ran out like halfway through, and then the fries were too dry without it. wish i got extra!

3. ramen kingdom - we waited in the cold but the noodles and broth made up for it - so comforting, flavorful and authentic. reminded me of the ramen in japan. lots of cute decor like pokemon and studio ghibli as well 😻

the easiest way to make my fav bánh mì even better 🌶️

rainy day meant craving my fav bánh mì in nyc (bánh anh em - east village) but apparently everyone else had the same idea 😭 the wait was crazy so takeout it was

i got my usual crispy pork belly bánh mì and luckily always keep CHIN-SU hot sauce on hand. added some on top for an extra kick of spice and somehow made an already fire bánh mì even better. such an easy way to elevate viet food when i want a little more heat 🔥 a must to have on hand! @chinsu_usa @chinsu_au @chinsu_korea by @maochows

📍 chez alain miam miam - paris, france

one of the most popular sandwich spots in paris and yes, there’s probably gonna be a line - but it moves pretty fast!

i got the prosciutto sandwich toasted and this thing was actually insane 🥪 sooo big and packed with fresh ingredients. def recommend getting it toasted, and you can also try some of their different cheeses depending on what you’re feeling.

come hungry because these sandwiches are PHAT and they do not hold back on the fillings. easily one of my fav quick eats from paris 🇫🇷 taken in Chez Alain Miam Miam by @maochows

recent paris eats i’d actually recommend 🇫🇷🥐

jealous of everyone in paris who was there for pfw so here’s a little food dump from my recent trip! a very random mix but these were some of the bites + drinks i’d go back for:

1. prosciutto sandwich - chez alain miam miam
2. croissant - mamiche
3. steak frites - brasserie bellanger
4. nut butter coffee - buddy buddy
5. cocktails - bisou
6. sandwich - mmmozza..!

📍 mishik - west village, nyc

such a cute upscale spot for modern japanese food in the west village. we started with a few handrolls and sushi - they have sooo many options, but the salmon and scallop rolls were our favs.

but the actual star of the show? the wagyu. the a5 wagyu literally melted in your mouth with every bite, and the kimchi wagyu was just as tender but paired with the yummiest rice

📍 lalyn - midtown, nyc

spent the night at lalyn for their tom yum week celebration and the atmosphere was def the highlight. the space is super stylish and elevated with such a pretty interior - perfect for celebrations, private events, or even a dressed-up night out

we got to try a selection of small bites and canapés throughout the night along with cocktails, so it was more of a taste of what lalyn has to offer rather than a full dinner. such a fun way to experience the space and celebrate tom yum week 🥂 taken in LALYN by @maochows

📍 cha& - lower east side, nyc

happy 2nd birthday to cha&!! went to their birthday celebration and the matchas topped with cream foam + sprinkles might actually be the cutest thing ever 🎂🎉 the cream also balanced out the matcha so well and made every sip extra creamy

they had sooo many small bites too, including focaccia from @uglyduckling.nyc so basically i’ve never been happier to eat this many pastries and drink this much matcha lol

is mimi’s frozen yogurt worth the hype? 🍦

yes - but only if there’s no line 😭 i love froyo but personally would not wait forever for it lol

the froyo itself is actually so good though - super creamy with tons of toppings to choose from. it lowkey reminds me of yo-chi, my fav froyo spot in australia, which is probably why i liked it so much

this 5-course “omakase” tasting might’ve been one of the best meals i’ve had recently 🍣 i loved that even though you get sushi, it’s not just a traditional sushi omakase - you also get to try some of their signature dishes and entrees. the steak was cooked perfectly and the miso cod was easily one of my favs

but can we talk about the dessert tower??? my jaw actually dropped when it came out 🍫 literally every fruit imaginable plus the creamiest lava cake and ice cream. def come hungry because you get sooo much food taken in Zuma New York by @maochows

📍 il punto - hell’s kitchen, nyc

as a pasta girlie, seeing this many pasta options on one menu was dangerous 😭 we somehow ordered 3 pastas between 2 people and we finished every single one 🍝

my picks are the pesto with salmon, rigatoni with burrata, and lobster ravioli. loved how each one had such a different combo, so ordering a few to share is def the move if you can’t choose just one

they also have plenty of apps and desserts, but the gelato salad was such a unique surprise - and no, it’s not actually gelato 👀 def worth trying if you want something different! taken in Il Punto Ristorante by @maochows

this spot is actually insane - everything comes out beautifully presented, but the flavors are what really got me. bold, complex, and popping in every dish 🙂‍↕️

start with the pomelo salad - fresh, bright, and spicy in just the right way - plus the chor muang dumplings, which have the best chewy texture with a little sweetness 🥟

for mains, highly recco the gaeng poo crab curry, pad see ew, and crying tiger steak. the crab curry was rich and packed with flavor, the pad see ew is the perfect comfort dish, and you can never go wrong with a good crying tiger steak 🥩 def come with friends so you can order a bunch and share taken in Kaew Jao Jorm by @maochows

part 6 of viral NYC restaurants actually worth the hype 🥞✨

📍 golden diner - chinatown, NYC

finally made it here after avoiding the insane waits forever 😭 and yes…the famous honey butter pancakes are worth it. SO soft + fluffy, rich and sweet, and definitely the star of the meal 🥞 also highly recommend the breakfast sando + adding bacon on the side for the ultimate sweet savory combo

PRO TIP: put your name down and have something planned nearby while you wait bc it is long. honestly, i probably wouldn’t wait that long just for brunch again unless i had something to do in between taken in Golden Diner by @maochows
