Hello everyone.

I'm here to tell you that 3 weeks ago we launched a new update of the Map Jumpers Digital Tourist Guide app.

Do you remember that when we launched the original version, in June, initially there was only content from Mexico? Then we added content from the United States, the United Kingdom, Morocco, Sweden, etc.

The great advantage of this new version is that now all the countries in the world have content within the app.

Les vengo a platicar que hace 3 semanas lanzamos una nueva actualización de la aplicación de Guía de Turistas Digital de Map Jumpers.

¿Se acuerdan que cuando lanzamos la versión original, en junio, inicialmente sólo había contenido de México? Luego fuimos agregando contenido de Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, Marruecos, Suecia, etc.

La gran ventaja de esta nueva versión es que ahora sí ya todos los países del mundo tienen contenido dentro de la app.

¿Quieren aprender como se utiliza esta Guía de Turistas Digital? Vean completo este video para que aprendan. Si tienen alguna duda pueden comentar este contenido o enviarme un mensaje directo.

Y recuerden que por el momento está disponble para usuarios de Android en Google Play Store.

We are officially launching the Map Jumpers app, which works as a digital tourist guide.

Important note: at the moment we only have it available for download in Mexico and on Google Play.

We are in the testing stage for its operation in other countries and when we make sure it works correctly, we will add content for the following countries: Spain, the United States and the United Kingdom.

These are the countries where the highest percentage of Instagram followers of Map Jumpers is found.

Visit and learn interesting facts about the iconic and historical places in your city and the people who lived there, with just one map and tons of videos. We want to be your digital tourist guide.

In the Map Jumpers application you can do 3 things:

The 1st of them is the Dynamic mode, which does use the GPS of your mobile device and we seek that the user gets as close as possible to one of the markers so that a menu of videos that explain something related to the topic in the title of the marker is displayed.

To use it you have to click on the button called Dynamic (with GPS) and it detects your location, puts a yellow marker (which does not change color) and displays the address where you are. In addition, on the map it also displays a series of markers that initially appear in red. You as a person must approach or move, either walking, running or in a vehicle, to one of the red markers. As you get closer, the red markers turn orange, then yellow and from there to green.

So if you are near a monument, statue or place, with which a marker is linked, you can use this application to work as if it were a digital tourist guide and the videos for each marker are from YouTube content creators and they receive their visits on a regular basis.

The 2nd, unlike the dynamic mode, uses the static mode and GPS is not required, because it is designed for users who want to see a video but they have the impediment of being physically very far from the place.

The 3rd way to use the application is the one with the button called ‘A day like today in history…’, click there and if the database shows some information that matches the day.

¡Hola! Soy Rodrigo Morfín, el creador de Map Jumpers. Les quiero platicar que estamos lanzando una tienda de mapas digitales.

Algunos de estos mapas son de historia y otros de geografía. Asimismo unos están hechos en español y otros en inglés. Unos pocos son gratuitos mientras que para otros hay que pagar la licencia anual.

Poco a poco en estos días iré haciendo videos donde les explicaré como adquirirlos y como utilizarlos. Este sitio web está pensado para ser usado principalmente por profesores, estudiantes, escuelas y básicamente cualquier persona que quiera aprender algo sobre historia o geografía.

En México ya han sido varias escuelas que nos han dado la oportunidad de utilizar nuestros contenidos en el ciclo escolar y ahora estamos esperando a que tú nos des una oportunidad de utilizar estos mapas para llevarte al pasado con nuestros mapas en nuestra tienda en línea https://www.mapjumpers.com/
