I remember the first time Nathaniel invited me to his infamous game room. Before this, I remember driving past his parties but not going inside because I was scared. I didn’t think I belonged there.

I remember sneaking out of my house and walking down the street to finally go. Other people that I knew were there weren’t answering my texts. I asked myself if I should even bother. It’s crazy to look back on how much I sought validation from my peers while also very desperate to leave Whittier and never look back once I did.

I remember he gave me a huge hug and yelled “Palumbo!” I remember his hug alleviating any worry I had that I didn’t belong.

He always made everyone feel like they were the coolest people in the room. He had the best laugh. He always wanted to play a new song he discovered on SoundCloud (for like 45 seconds max before he would change it to something that was a completely different vibe).

I wish I could tell him now how much his friendship meant to me, especially in my high school and college years. I wish I could tell him much confidence he gave me by becoming my friend. I’ll never forget the times we shared together. He’s one of the many reasons why I love Whittier and why I continue to keep in touch with my friends from my hometown.

I take comfort knowing he’s finally at peace, with his mom, looking down on me, probably laughing at the fact that a deadmau5 song made me cry because it reminded me of going to EDC with him. RIP Nathaniel. I hope there’s a game room in heaven so we can hug again. 🤍 by @mapofla

Spent the first day of 2025 reflecting on a truly incredible year. I've been typing and rewriting this caption for several hours if I'm being honest LOL. I just want to articulate how I can't thank you all enough for being a part of my life and making it such a wonderful experience. I treasure every moment I have with you. I laughed and cried scrolling through my camera roll trying to find the cutest pictures of myself (🤭), only to realize that I'm incredibly fortunate to have such amazing friends and family who literally make life worth living.
