🏝️ Bentota Beach, Sri Lanka

Syksy tulee ja tänävuonna ollaankin ennätysajassa siihen valmiita 😍🍂
Viileä ja sateinen kesä Suomessa ei oo ollut sitä mitä odotettiin, joten täällä ollaan valmiina jo tulevaan syksyyn ja loppuvuoteen! 😍💛

Pari reissua on jo valmiiksi varattuna ja niistä kyllä saa aina ison latauksen energiaa pimeään vuodenaikaan! 😍🫶

Marraskuussa meillä on 6 päivän matka Dohaan Qatariin , joka jäi kummittelemaan mieleen helmikuussa kun tehtiin koneenvaihto Sri Lankaan mentäessä ja ihana päästä nyt tutustumaan myös Dohaan. ☺️
Joulukuussa taas risteily Tallinnaan joulutorille! 🎅🎄

Ensvuoden reissut on vielä aivan vaiheessa ja tutkimusta on tehty niin Rio de Janeiron karnevaaleista Australian rannikolle, mut saapa nähdä päädytäänkö lopulta autoilemaan taas Eurooppaan? 🙋‍♀️

Moniko siellä saa aivan tajuttomia matkaideoita ja viettää niiden parissa tuntitolkulla aikaa tietäen näin yksityiskohtaisia seikkoja eri maista ja kohteista, vaikkei ole niissä edes käynyt?🙋‍♀️😂

Mut ehkä tärkein kysymys, joko siellä on varailtu loppuvuoden tai jopa ensivuoden lomia ja minnepäin? 😍 Ja jos oot löytänyt jonkun super tarjouksen matkojen parista niin mistä ja minne? 💭

Paratiisi fiilistä ja faktoja Sri Lankasta 🌊

🐚 Sri Lanka on saari, jonka myötä rantaviivaa on saarella yli 1000 km. Suosituimpia matkakohteita on maan itä -ja etelärannat.

🐚 Sri Lanka sopii matkustamiseen niin rantalomailijoille kuin aktiivisille matkailijoille. Voit yhtä hyvin rannalla oleilun sijaan lähteä veneretkelle bongaamaan sinivalaita, safarille luonnonpuistoon, nähdä kilpikonnia rannalla ja apinoita metsissä, patikoida pyhiinvaeltajien reiteillä, snorklata, surffata tai viettää aikaa pääkaupungissa Colombossa. 🥰

🐚 Kaikkien Sri Lankaan matkustavien täytyy anoa ennakkoon / ostaa viimeistään maahan saapuessa (kalliimpi) maahantulovaltuutus eli ETA-lupa, jonka myötä myönnetään viisumi ja maahantulo lupa.

🐚 Maan tunnetuimpia vientituotteita ympäri maailmaa on erittäin laadukas Ceylon -tee.
Vuoteen 1972 asti Sri Lanka tunnettiin nimellä Ceylon, mistä myös teen nimi juontaa juurensa.

🐚 Tieverkosto maassa on huono, jonka vuoksi lyhyeenkin matkaan menee äkkiä paljon aikaa. Tienvarsilla on tavanomaista nähdä paljon kulkukoiria sekä kyltein varoituksia riikinkukoista ja norsuista. 🐘

🐚 Sri Lanka on kärsinyt paljon tuhoja vuoden 2004 tsunamissa, terrori pommi-iskusta vuodelta 2019 sekä sen jälkeiset poliittiset epävakaudet ja koronapandemia ovat vaikuttaneet vahvasti heikentävästi turismiin ja sitä kautta maan talouteen.

Tällähetkellä Sri Lanka elää talouskriisissä, joka näkyy köyhyyden lisäksi mm. bensan myynnin rajoittamisena, sähkönhinnan nousuna ja sähkökatkoksina, ruoan hinnan nousuna ja ajoittaisina saatavuus ongelmina. 🥺🫶

🐚 Ihmiset ovat mielettömän ystävällisiä, kohteliaita, hymyileviä ja avuliaita. Apua saat herkästi myös kysymättä, sillä ihmiset tarjoutuvat herkästi tarjoamaan apuaan. 💛
Myös maassa liikkuminen tuntui turvalliselta, eikä olo ollut missään tilanteessa turvaton!🫶

Let the Icelandic adventure begin 😍🇮🇸

At the same time, country number 23 visited together and all the Nordic countries seen 🙏 Feeling so grateful and so lucky to share these adventures with you ❤️

We missed a night’s sleep when we left home from Tampere towards Helsinki-Vantaa at night. The first flight left on time at 6.15 from Helsinki towards Copenhagen, where we had 1 hour to change planes. There was no problem with that.

The plane to Iceland left late, so we used the time to sleep, and we have no idea how late we were in the end. We arrived and here was lovely sunshine waiting for us, no snow at all ☀️

We easily bought bus tickets from the machine at the airport to the Icelandic bus station, the tickets cost 55.81€ for two when I checked online. 😅💰

The hotel was simple on the outside, but really clean and cozy on the inside! We headed straight to the hotel’s Spa, which was incredibly wonderful and much more than we expected. We spent the whole afternoon there in the sauna, hot jacuzzi and ordered champagne 🍾🆘💰

In the evening we went around downtown Reykjavik looking for food and shops. It’s already starting to get Christmas ready here and the places are so atmospheric 🥺

😴💤 Last night we probably slept for 13 hours straight, it’s good to continue this until the next day. 🙏💕

In the next few days I’ll be sharing moments from Iceland. It would be nice to hear if people are interested and what kind of content? Is there anything special you’d be interested in hearing? 💕👇

🏰 We walked around the harbor and admired the sandcastle that opened on 7.6. - we just say - wow 🫣

🏇 We also got to participate in Lappeenranta City Trotting Races.

👉 Did you know? Kehruuhuone in Lappeenranta was Originally a women’s forced labor facility, founded by order of Emperor Alexander I in 1816. Today, this historic space has been transformed into a unique event venue and restaurant.

🛏️ First we met our group and checked in at @originalsokoshotellappee 📍 Lappeenranta.
And wow - we loved this hotel room, breakfast and friendly reception.
☕️ We visited the @satamatie6 and their own roastery, @lehmusroastery .
🏰 We walked around the harbor and admired the sandcastle that opened on 7.6. - we just say - wow 🫣

🌿 We walked around the fortress and visited a small boutique and bought local cloudberry and raspberry lemonade.

🥞 The day started with breakfast and we drove to Imatra.
🏄‍♀️ We visited the @vuoksenkalastuspuisto , watched the jet ski races and got to try wakeboarding @wake_in_vuoksi
☀️ We spent the afternoon on the sauna raft, enjoying the sauna and swimming @saunalauttaimatra
🌊 We visited the Scandic Imatran Valtionhotelli and and we got to see the Imatra rapids show.
🛏️ We checked in at @imatrankylpyla
🍽️ We enjoyed dinner at a restaurant @ravintolanuotta

SUNDAY👇
🥞 We started our day with breakfast.
🧖‍♀️ We spent the morning at the Spa.
🍲 Enjoyed the lunch in hotel’s restaurant
