On the podium at the Nordic Grand Prix of Riga 2026 Jet Ski Racing

Albin Oscarsson and Eric Jacobsson finished first and second respectively in the Ski GP2 class at the Nordic Grand Prix 2026. A huge congratulations from everyone at Maptun! We also managed to catch up with Eric after the race to hear his thoughts on the weekend.

Can you briefly sum up the weekend?
The weekend was definitely a challenge for us Swedish Maptun riders in Ski GP2. Some of Europe’s top riders were there, and neither of us was quite at 100% after recently recovering from a cold. But sometimes you’re at your strongest when you have to fight your way back!
After practice, it’s always difficult to know exactly where you stand compared to the rest of the field. But already after Heat 1, both Albin and I showed that we had the pace to fight for the podium. Our performances, combined with INSANELY fast machines thanks to the right tune from you guys, were the key to gold for Albin and silver for me.

What do you think made the biggest difference in getting both of you onto the podium?
I’d say the incredible speed we had in the machines thanks to the tuning. We weren’t first off the line, but we were able to reel in the competition and pass them. A lot of the racing was decided right there.

What does this result mean for you and your future racing plans?
It definitely reignited the hunger in both of us. We’re now looking towards next season with the goal of taking our racing back to the international stage. Albin is already making that happen, competing in his first World Championship in Olbia on October 17–18.

What does the upcoming season look like? Any particular goals?
We want to focus on races with strong international fields so we can build more experience, while also competing in the Swedish Championship. We’re already putting up a pretty good fight against the more powerful GP1 machines too!
It would also be awesome if we could both qualify for SM-veckan, each riding a Maptun GP2. by @maptunpowersports

Speed Limit Removal (SLR) is available for Can-Am vehicles with MG1 ECU (e.g. Outlander HD5 and HD7). With an SLR license and either a Maptuner X or Maptuner Nano, you can easily remove the speed limiter on your vehicle just as smoothly as before. In addition, the Maptuner Nano offers an exclusive feature: Map Switch, allowing you to choose between seven different speed limits – 40, 60, 80, 100, 110, 120 km/h and Unlimited. Switching between maps is done via the MyMaptuner App.

Please note: Requires Maptuner Nano NB3 (or NX3 with BRP Cabling) and a tuning license. Map Switch is only supported by Maptuner Nano. Maptuner Nano must be connected to the vehicle when switching between maps. Map switching can only be applied with the engine turned off, switching map while engine is running will be passive until restart. The last active map will remain in effect the next time the vehicle is started. by @maptunpowersports
