♻️🌍 FAST TECH, DON’T BIN IT, BRING IT! Ever wondered where your old phones, chargers, laptops, and electronic gadgets end up when you throw them away? 📱🔌 E-waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams, and improper disposal can release hazardous substances into our soil and water, harm ecosystems, and pose risks to human health. At the same time, discarded electronics contain valuable materials that can be recovered and reused instead of being wasted. With this in mind, the Rotaract Club of S.S. Dempo College, in collaboration with the NSS Unit and Department of IT of DCT’s Srinivasa Sinai Dempo College, Rotary Club of Mapusa Elegance, Rotary Club of Dona Paula, and Group TenPlus, successfully conducted an E-Waste Collection Drive on 13th October 2026. The initiative began with an insightful awareness session by Mr. Ashley Delaney, highlighting the importance of responsible e-waste management and the environmental consequences of improper disposal. 💚 Over 150 kg of e-waste collected so far! Every charger collected, every old device recycled, and every person made aware is a step towards a cleaner, more sustainable future. Because e-waste doesn’t disappear when we throw it away — it simply becomes someone else’s problem, or our planet’s. A heartfelt thank you to our parent club, Rotary Club of Dona Paula, especially President Elaine, Secretary Gaurav, and Treasurer Hina, for their continued guidance and support. We extend our sincere gratitude to our Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj S. Kamat, the NSS Unit, Department of IT, our collaborating organisations, participating institutions, and all the volunteers who contributed to making this initiative a success. ✨ Organising Team * Alina Kunji — President * Aditya Shetye — Secretary * Saamin Khan — Project Chair * Atharv Dabholkar — Project Co-Chair Let’s make responsible disposal a habit, not an afterthought. ♻️💚 #drramey #inspire #rotaract3170 by @mapusa.elegance
