We are proud and honoured to bring the extraordinary story of Sarkhel Kanhojiraje Angre to the screen with our latest production, #Angre an epic cinematic spectacle chronicling the life and legend of Sarkhel Kanhojiraje Angre, the Grand Admiral of the Maratha Navy, who, for over four decades, defended our western coastline against the combined might of foreign invaders and remained undefeated.
We embark on a journey to take the story of one of India’s greatest warriors to audiences across the world.

Congratulations to the entire #Angre team and director @mapuskar

To the person because of whom I could become a Writer & director… Dear Raju Dada,

Today, on your birthday, I find myself going back to the day when April May 99 was released. That day, I had sent you a message…

Raju Da… do you remember when we first spoke about this idea? Sitting in a corner, stirring dreams into our cups of coffee. Back then, it was just an idea but you helped me turn it into reality. I became a director because you were already the producer of my dreams.

Every time I felt lost, you lifted me without saying much. Sometimes by making me laugh, sometimes with just a hand on my shoulder… and sometimes by running harder than I ever could.

You were never just my brother. You were my strength, my shadow, and my faith. Without your belief and your dedication, perhaps this journey would have remained incomplete. And then came that Filmfare moment…

When I placed that trophy in your hands, it wasn’t just an award for me. In that moment, I could see the dream we had once spoken about, standing right in front of us. As I handed that trophy to you, there was only one feeling in my heart “Raju Da, look… we made it here.”

Today is your birthday… And somehow, I feel this trophy belongs with you. Consider it a gift from the universe for your love, your faith, and for everything you have done for me along the way.

April May 99 may be my dream, but you are the person who stood beside me and helped give that dream a life.

Today, when applause comes in my name, I know there is your voice in every clap. There is a part of you in every achievement of mine.

Raju Da what we share is beyond words.

I’ll simply say this This film belongs to the Mapuskars. And this achievement belongs to you too.

Happy Birthday, Dada. Love you immensely. ❤️

Yours,
रवळ्या

2019 → 2026.

This feels surreal.

Somewhere in 2019, @simaabhashmi read a news article about a football club in Kashmir.

Real Kashmir Football Club. (@realkashmir_fc )

A club started by Sandeep Chattoo and Shamim Meraj, (and later led by Arshad Shawl and @samarth99611 Chattoo, Sandeep’s son.)

And somehow… that little article became this.

An International Emmy nomination.

I still don’t know how to process that.

I just know how lucky I have been.

Lucky that the right people came into my life with this story. Lucky that Simaab read that article. Lucky that @umangvyasofficial brought this story to me along with Simaab. Lucky to have Kilian Kerwin , Jeff Segansky come on board as EP and finance this show , lucky to get the legendary @maheshmathai come on board as our show runner - our captain, who along with Kilian became our spine, the men who somehow held this whole crazy thing together. And @imvicky.v @mapuskar for being so amazing

And our writers - Simaab Hashmi & Umang Vyas (also EPs on the show) Dhruv Narang for breathing life into the first two episodes. @danishrenzu Renzu. Adhir Bhatt. Chintan Gandhi. Every person who sat in a room, stared at a blank page and tried to tell this story in the most sincere way.

And then the actors @mohdzeeshanayyub @manavkaul and EVERYONE EACHONE of the actors !

And the entire crew, the talented HODs and the amazing team at @sonyliv ! @saugatam and Danish!!

Every person who gave this show a piece of themselves.
This is for all of us.

A show made with honesty.

Made with absolutely no idea how far it would travel.

And now it has travelled all the way to the International Emmys.

Standing in a room with some of the best shows in the world.

We made it here.

And that is enough to make me emotional.

Because at the heart of this is a man who started something much bigger than a football club.

Sandeep Chattoo.

I wish he could see this.

I’m sure he’s somewhere up there, smiling. Blessing us.

So congratulations to everyone who gave this show their heart.

From a news article in 2019…

to New York in 2026.

23rd November.

New York, here we come. ❤️
